The FT 210 is designed to be very durable. The bottom frame is comprised of one solid piece of 4mm carbon fiber! This allows for the pilot, whether your a beginner or an expert, to feel at ease knowing their quad is going to pretty much withstand anything! Not only is this frame DURABLE, but it is also designed for the beginner or intermediate racer in mind!
OMG! Learn how to solder. please! stop doing the stupid
What props should be used in the best and better options?
What gauge solder is that?
What kits do I need to make this
What are all the things I need
Has anyone put 4 castle 5600 4 POLE MOTORS IN ONE OF THESE
The link to the flitetest shop page does not work.
hu guys
can i program the x220 wizard for headless mode on a sp f3 FC?? tia
instead of the blheli suite, it is available as a google app , same as cleanflight/betaflight
hey guys, new to the sport. somehow i ended up with BLHELI OPTOS with EMAX motors. Do i need to add an extra 5v line to slot 6 if i already added one to the BAT like in you VID? thanx
How can i paint the frame
GREAT video. Thank you for this contribution.
Can i use lux fc
I am making this build but while testing the motors without props my ESCs are getting really hot and I’ve already lost two ESCs before my first flight. I’ve checked the voltage is 5V and no short. Using the same screws for the motors as in this video. Please help me diagnose this.
Please update the link
guys i’m using a SPEKTRUM DSMX Receiver with diversity on as NAZE32 Afro FC, plugged to the Spektrum ports. It lights up when plugged into the USB not the lipo..Please square me away
my godness
Did the website for the kit change? telling me its a bad link
Felicitaciones!!! excelente trabajo.
Your soldering would be a lot cleaner and easier with flux.
Dont say you never use flux because you’re a pro. Im a pretty good solderer and I use flux to everything and its a lot faster and dont need to be heating stuff unnecessery..
What props are people using on the FT 210?
what is meant by yaw counter torque stability
can u sell installed quadcopter ???
Dose the pdb come in the pack
Aaahhh, where’s TJ’s beard?!??
a good tip for when soldering wires together like you were at 44:00 is to offset each connection. This means that when insulating them, you only worry about insulating from the outside instead of from each other.
instead of: do this:
====(connection)==== =(connection)======= obviously the connections would be smaller than this so they wouldn’t overlap
====(connection)==== ====(connection)==== and heat shrink works just as well
====(connection)==== =======(connection)=
What sort of range do you get from this quad?
Hey guys, which battery you are using for effectively flaight ?
Good video. Thanks’ a lot.
silly question: Can these drones hover and you can mount small cameras to them right?
They look so great, please bring them to Germany!!
what is your soldering setup?
Which mushroom antenna did you use?
I’ll post here and see what I get. So I’m kinda new to Fpv racing quads. I just finished my second build. Last week I got it stuck in a tree due to the lack of peripheral lol. Then today I took it out and got into my second pack and for an unknown reason my video feed started getting to about 90% static I thought I turned around away from the woods and I hit the fail safe as there are some houses around. After finding the drone (took me 46 mins) I reviewed the go pro footage and noticed the static in my goggles was so back I was facing the opposite direction and was really flying into the woods when I hit the fail safe. For some reason my drone was beeping (I don’t have any buzzers installed) it was my flight controller beeping (flip 32 F4) and that’s how I finally found it, if it wasn’t for that beeping there’s no way I would have found it as I thought it was no where near where I found it. Crashes are unavoidable I get that and learning fpv I try to stay in secluded and open fields. No I know people will say you should have a spotter I know I know but I usually don’t have that luxury. So after that rant, is there some way to track your drone via gps or Bluetooth, maybe there’s features on the flight controller I’m over looking??
I’ll comment on the soldering as well. I never soldered a day in my life well not electronics. Anyway I will say what worked for me in the end is a 45 watt soldering iron from Home Depot. I bought a 25 watt and it was such a head ache. I know everyone says it’s the temp and not the watts. For me I’ll have to disagree. 45 watt is what really really works the best for me. The 25watt worked it was just a huge head ache, it didn’t transfer the head to my board or anything thicker then 14 gauge wire. Well not in a timely manner. The 25 watt was a Max 750 degrees and the 45 watt is a max of 900. Everything I read is you only need like around 400-450 degrees to melt solder. Maybe that was Celsius lol. Any way with a 45 watt now and all my parts for building a quad from scratch I can get it fully built in about 3-4 hours. That’s before ticketing with betaflight ofcourse.
Great video !! I love ur techniques.
What kind of battery are you using
you gays are dam good solders
but I’m better than all of you in total tykkää jos oot suomalainen tai osaat puhua suomea saatasko 20tykkäystä tälle kommentille
I like the O rings on the flight controller great idea!!! thanks nice build
Hey Guys I have been into the hobby for about 6 years and have never got into fpv or quads need help on things .
great video! lots of learning and practical tips! quick question: why do you have two cameras on the drone. Ive seen many fpv pilots put an extra goPro. why is that? the VTx is only for the small orange camera right? so the goPro is just to capture extra footage but for fpv you use the built in cam? (PS: im new to fpv) cheers!
16:10 and the boxes look like a god place for all the screws, short cables etc. you might need ^^
So I want to build this ft 210, but they don’t sell everything that is here anymore
I need an sponsor
((((((((((((((((((((((((when soldering To protect putty the board))))))))
i just watched the whole build. i am purchasing the build and everything you did in this video. ive been looking at videos for 2 months now and i think i found the one. thank you.
which power pack was used in this build?
What if you have a normal plane receiver can you still jump it to use it as ppm
Whats the top speed on this quad
Excellent video ! Now I will have to build one . Thanks guys .
I can’t see the pack in the web
where is it??
the pack for the drone
Solder on the tip creates a “heat highway” to the solder joint. It provided a path for which the temperature can transfer, tip to solder joint, more readily.
Sick!
There is much better technology now for the same price
Jay Grafwallner I actually bought the frame and flight controller but I used a lot of different parts for it to save a little money and got a really good Quad out it. The stuff they had in the video wasn’t even on the website anymore.
Why can’t you put Esc’s underneath your prop arms then there away from the blades?
Hi, Ive been having trouble controlling my drone with my radio after disconnecting from beta flight. The motors and radio both work in beta flight but once I disconnect I cannot actually fly the drone with my radio. Do you know of any solutions? This video is very helpful!
You have flyin SKILLS
Was really thinking I can do this till it got to the computer section then. Bollox made no sense.
This video is a year old but I’m just starting to build my first FPV quad. I’m a bit confused on the receiver setup and hope someone can explain. In the video it appears only one channel is being plugged into on the receiver. How does it able to control four channels pitch/roll/throttle/yaw during the setup?
Dude. I caught your little Bob Ross call out, and I think it couldn’t be any more appropriate. Bob Ross made me feel confident that I could paint. You guys have made me feel confident that I can build a quadcopter. Thanks so much!
Yes, that’s called tinning the tip.
thank you ..
How much this drone cost to built?
How much this drone cost to built?
How much this drone cost to built?
on god this dude is a fuckin know it ALLLLL. . MAKING ME SICK
Which battery did you use?
Pls give me the exact c rating, mah, and voltage
Any good tips for getting those connections that are millimeters apart soldered?
Which battery did you ise
Which flight controller did u use
00:11 Instant heart attack, I would have crashed hard going for this here
Isn’t cost more than the ready made?
Thanx I’ve learnt a lot.
Interesting video guys, why not flip the esc’s over, then the red and black wires to the board wouldn’t need to be crossed over.
where can i get one of this? and how much will it cost ?
Could someone tell me the labels for each of the data wires on the esc, I’m so confused ?
Need help, tried to replicate the build and have two issues.
1. When I created the model in the Taranis, I bound my X4R receiver accidentally to D16 CH1-8 Receiver No. 01. Now I cannot bind it to D8, it just states it lost telementry. Is there a way I can unbind this or move it over? I read that the X4R is only compatibile in D16 however even though it’s binded I the quad is unresponsive, I don’t see it in Betaflight either.
Solution: wired the signal wire to the naze pin 1, moved to pin 2 and it was fine. Since it’s the x4r
2. My video using the Swift2, is just pure static. I can see the image moving as I wave my hand but it’s not visible for use. Recommendations?
This may sound like a stupid question, but Im going to build my first quad. I have a Futaba T8J with a gimbal centering kit on. Do I have to change any setting on ether the flight controller or the remoter being that the throttle automatically centers?
P.S. How would I set up the quad to the arm button is the DJI CSC to arm.

Cost ???
So it’s safe to use 30a escs on a 20a pdb? If so, Awesome!
there is no option for the good better or best on your website anymore and there are not the options for the frame
there is no option for the good better or best on your website anymore and there are not the options for the frame
Anyone know where a link is to the full kit as built in the video? Also how much would it be total?
It is like a movie
ItsJeebs I noticed that
Can you tell me the ESC model?
Thank you So much, I learned just about enough to begin build a racing drone, YES I WILL be contacting you in the very near future. Thank you, M.A. Davidson
so annoying out of focus..
28:48 I’d solder the middle wire first, a bit easier.
does beta flight configurator show the whole source code?
It is a pity that I did not find your video when I was placing the first drone. Very nice , thanks
Bob Ross of Drones
I get “Page not found” when I want to check for the kit ? Could you please update the description with a valid link please? I know this video is from 2016 but in 2018 we still want to build it
Thanks!
you got issues in soldering cause you are using the completely false tip for that big pads.. : use a bigger tip !
Could you build a foam board drone
That soldering style in the cam wires is close to the NASA standard
nice build very good insight TJ …! also just a suggestion that I use inplace of the softer Loctite blue , things that need or might need to come apart
I use clear womens nail polish …. yes I said it lol …. its not as unsightly or messy as Loctite and does the job , also use it to weatherproof the ends
of shrink tubing …. now it does feel a little uncomfortable walking up to a register and just buying it ….. lol
wipe excess off brush and wipe across threads , all that’s needed …. great channel …!
hi this is Sara from hawksky brushless motor manufacture, we can provide very good motors, any interested contact me email: sales.hawksky@gmail.com whatapp+86-13647439909 our motor test result from miniquadtestbench , our website is hawksky.net we sell at banggood and getfpv RDQ and so on website.
i also use the emax boxes to organize or all my stuff . it just works
ive noticed u guys never use flux . i do get it rosin core solder but i use flu especially on old solder
one more thing ive used that 3m tape . its okay but scotch makes this white tape thats the stickiest double sided tape ive ever used its so sticky on contact its incredible
just look up scotch mounting tape . u would think 3m would be better. so did i but its not trust me or better yet just check yourself . u will be surprised
so you are flying without OSD? (since you connected the signal from the cam to vtx directly)
I flew an FT210 for a year or so before it died. Incredible frame. If you’re new in the hobby, this is without a doubt the best frame to start if you don’t wanna break it!
63/37 is my goto solder. good thing you chose left, the fc usb would be blocked by the xt60 if you went right.
Waste of money and time(unless you shoot big-budget film with it)
Very cool!!! Subbed bro ???
