Love skating and love fpv drone flying but I get a bit irritated by this kind of footage. It becomes about the tricks the drone pilot can do and not the subject in hand (the skater). I don’t care that the drone can flip 360 backwards in one second, I care whether the skater can but if the pilot misses the shot because he’s showing off his skillz, it’s a waste. Don’t wish to be negative, still giving the clip a thumbs up. There’s a lot of potential for this kind of footage, it just needs to be dialed down a bit ?

This ain’t dreamy. Composition is weak and the camera movements arent motivated. Using FPV drones is rad, but throwing in unnecessary freestyle moves doesn’t help the overall edit.
If you want to make a freestyle film, go for it. Just don’t call it something that it isn’t.
For a good example of skating and fpv, the intro to Pretty Sweet still takes the cake.
