I can on 5 seconds on my f6
The 270 in that is similar to the 270 in my manual 2014 FG mk2. I just did pod filter, 2.5 catback xforce, injectors and tune and it is so impressive. Gone from 6 psi to 16 and it’s amazing. Wonder what psi this one is at.
i think about 5.6 seconds or 5.3 some where about that time. if gear box is working right. good luck go go go f6 falcon
Time for a new steering wheel, yesterday.
Its called turbo lag and bad tuning buddy,i have a fg xr6 n/a that has every performance mod except turbo and off the line its quicker than a turbocharged xr6.
5.6 seconds
Can’t wait till you are getting 600 rwhp on e85 !! And I got it right 5.6 !
6.5 !
My guess was 6 seconds, just based off of my now standard bf xr6t. And I couldn’t agree more about how good they’re when travelling at 100. Over taking people is just amazing, but it almost feels embarrassing as you always have to get on the brakes afterwards. Anyway, talking about the trans issue you’re having, I completely agree with rob, but I recommend trying to reset the parameters and seeing how it does with relearning shift operations. However, I think the 1500km period is quite exaggerated from personal experience, generally within 5-10kms of driving they start to shift well enough, however I’ve also only had to do this with newly rebuilt transmissions so being a used trans it might take longer, but unsure on that one. I just hope whatever happens it doesn’t cost you a arm and a leg, I’ve contemplated selling mine, multiple times as of lately, just the expense to run them, and maintenance, I’m in a similar boat to you, I bought mine with 168,000kms on mine, which was more kms then I was wanting to be in it, and I’m still dealing with all the issues of owning a very used falcon.
4.6 seconds?? I just brought an 2004 BA XR6 silver. I love it so comfy and nice to drive
5.2 seconds, wasn’t impressed with my xr6 turbo until I got a tune, the step up is similar to going from a taxi to the turbo again with a tune, about 60rwkw. Also notice you were shifting at less than 6k rpm in the first run (2 gear changes). The harder you drive these cars the quicker they get. Like you said the computer adapts to your driving habits. They love good fuel, I only used bp98 in mine, I think the engineer back then said it was good for 10-15kw. Also you can stall mine to 2000rpm, but mine is a 4sp btr gearbox, not sure if 1500rpm is normal for a zf
well Sydney Dragway is open now so you could come down to eastern creek and put the thong down mate!! love the f6 my parents used to have a electric blue i think the colour is but it was a great car hope you don’t get rid of it man
100k subscribers speacial! ?
Ross Reviews takes his typhoon to the German Autobahn. ?
???? u impressed a ve owner there’s nothing like real aussies driving Aussie made cars keep it going
A transmission takes 1500 klm S to relearn shift points does it ? After a factory tune return ! I call bullshit on that
Man I know what you mean about rolling acceleration. I just picked up a BA XR6T with 55000km’s on the clock. Had it tuned, injectors fuel pump etc and it just builds speed so effortlessly even when doing 60km/h. No Joke, I’m probobly pressing the pedal less than an inch and it still wants to accelerate. They really just want to go go go when cruising.
Hey everyone knows this is still an au falcon right? Just different lights and bumpers, The ve,vf holden platform is about 15 years newer
You still have a good car, most people have cars that take like 12 seconds to do 0-100 so your car would be still considered fast anyways
Checked that the line pressure on the gearbox hasn’t been touched? Could be the reason why it has thud when shifting
People do that so you can hold more power on the stock box and reduce shift times, due to the box being electric
I reckon 6 sec.
