      I was sponsored for freestyle kayaking years ago and this was always coming up. Biggest thing I’ll say is that sponsorship can be a double edged sword. For two seasons I was in a boat that was outdated and couldn’t be competitive but also couldn’t change because I was tied to a manufacturer. Two years later and there was no way I could ever catch up with all the new moves and techniques.
      Be careful what you wish for!

      Hey Mai, I remember when Bardwell went full time; he just told people he quit his day job to do FPV full-time and it was obvious that without our support he wouldn’t be able to continue that way, so we all subscribed and many of us joined his Patreon because there was no doubt among us that what he was doing was really helping our hobby. Joshua had to grind for well over a year before his following picked up. He never begs or sounds desperate because he knows in his heart that what he creates has value for his viewers. Bottom line: If you truly believe that the content you are uploading is really helping or entertaining people and what you’re creating has value to them, then asking for support will not scare us away. On the contrary, you’re reminding us that what you do takes hard work and dedication, which you clearly have. Keep focusing on quality content and frequent uploading and the FPV community will support you!
