#Airspace is getting busy, plastic bags are mistaken for drones & there are more #drone detection systems running than ever. Flying in the wrong place at the wrong time could get you in to some serious problems. BUT keeping informed could save your bacon. #wheretofly

You can pay to not show on FR24 and it’s slightly time delayed. The only real way to do this is have your own receiver, in fact multiple receivers to resolve Mode S traffic as well. Of course Mode C will never show.
Didn’t realise you are based in Norwich!
Won’t pick up small private planes
Very helpful , good information , good video again Dylan . Many more .
Ask FR24 for a receiver, put it up at your home get a free business account. Been using FR24 for years.
adsbexchange.com has less filtering and more likely to show the sort of air traffic that we need to see. You can also use a dvb-t (TV) usb dongle + small UHF aerial as a local ADS-B receiver, this can help in some rural & hilly parts of the UK where the signal from a low aircraft may not make it to the nearest receiver on the network. In practice though it is near-impossible to monitor airspace while flying the drone without a second person, what we need is software that gives us audible proximity warnings instead…
had it for years paid the little extra get all the aircraft highlighted best fun you can indoors well nearly if you go to china you will find a heap of aircraft always doing circles waiting to land a Bejing stay safe see ya
The app will not show Military aircraft for obvious reasons. Oops sorry this is the Internet – need to assume most people will have NFI.
Yes I use this app and look at it before I fly, but there was this one time that I was flying only 50m above my house that a chopper flew by but it wasn’t showing in the app. Also I notice that the app only shows an airplane icon even though it’s a chopper. The only way to know if it’s a chopper or not is by its altitude and air speed.
Great app recommendation. I will pass this on to my drone flying friends. Thank you.
The mobile app works well, the only drawback is that it only shows aircraft that have made the equipment upgrade to ADS-B, does not show military aircraft.
Norwich, a Fine City in Nelson’s county. I am a Yorkshire lad at heart, ?.
I have seen few helicopters exactly flying above my head and they seemed to fly very low and I quickly turned the app on and those helicopters weren’t there any idea ?
yo dude – you should include yer sitename in the video titles – makes them WAY easier to find !
thanks for the vid
thx
nice one buddy !
Great info. ?
I have used flightradar24 for a while and when you compare heights of planes around airports or anywhere it bares no relation to the laws that they have imposed on us which are excessively restrictive.
