LIVE QUADCOPTER PID TUNING: Catalyst Machineworks Norris (WITH FIXED FPV FEED)
I will be doing a full, live, PID tuning of the Catalyst Machineworks Norris. Firmware will be Betaflight 3.2 RC5. I’ll start from default PIDs and go through the entire tune.
SPECIAL GUEST: RandomFPV will be helping me keep up with the chat while I’m flying.
The original upload of this video had some glitches in the FPV feed that meant you couldn’t see what the quad was doing. I’ve fixed those glitches and that’s why the video is being reuploaded.

Can you do a tune with RACEFLIGHT ONE? If you haven’t??
Hey, im running into a bit of an issue her with a quad. I recently tried reflashing my board (dys f4) and it went fine. It works and still connects. I cannot get my reciever bars moving though, despite binding (again), setting up serial reciever and sbus in the configuration tab, and putting serial rx in the ports. It used to work fine. my channel mapping is fine too. I am scared i messed something up. how do i get my reciever working again?
What props are you using for those motors?

Do you lubricate your motors? If so what product do you use?
Will soft mounting motors reduce the risk of smoking a motor?

Hey josh, I have 2 shuriken x1’s and they bobble a little bit when I’m at a slow cruise, kinda like im driving down a bumpy road. It’s not consistent. What do you think that is?
Thank you so much for this. Very helpful. One question: when i turn off the D term Notch (BF 3.2) filter, my motors sound really bad, so i set it back again immediately. So can i leave dynamic filter turned on and only set the first 2 filters to 0 ? Or shall i disable dynamic filter and set all filter values back to default? Thank you for you help
ive got a bit of an interesting problem, my matek vtx smart audio only works if the flight controller is powered through a usb before the vtx is powered. if i just power my quad from a battery it turns on and transmits fine, but smart audio doesnt work. if anyone has any ideas on why…..??
Hey buddy! I have a huge problem with my serial link in betaflight. I just upgraded my cam and after that the serial link is buggy. when I fly the roll doesn´t respond and is very slow, and i have no idea why this is. Do you have any idea?

Great video, well worth taking the time to watch. How about running a competition where the winner can post you a quad they are struggling to tune and you tune it live? That way you’ll also get to tune a quad with some issues.
320g without battery. I thought it is way below 300g.
m haveing trouble with gearbest orderd two new quads they have lost the package it was shipped out 9-21 by dhl the tracking # never showed anything but # not found in dhl data base still says that they are maken me wiat till 10-16 to reship my order god I think they think I ran down to china and stole it off there dock I wish I had at lest id have it some gearbest worker is flyn my quads wile I wait tell middle of next mon to start over
