Hi guys .. I’m kind of new in this field, and trying to make one, but I’m a little confused about the receiver.. Can I buy any receiver or do I have to buy a specific one? And another question is can I buy any remote and goggle or is there any specifications too? I’m using Diatone MAMBA F405 MK2 Flight Controller & F40 40A 3-6S DSHOT600 Brushless ESC with RUSH TANK PLUS VTX 5.8GHz 48CH 2-8s 800mW Video Transmitter Smart Audio AGC MIC

Hex driver set link appears not working
It’s a great VTx. But watch out for the micro components near the mounting holes. The standoffs or the screws most certainly crush those components. I’ve lost the audio from my VTx because of that. Also it can get very hot.
AKK products are very good butI will not more buy AKK products never in my life again. I bought a VTX last February..it never arrived and they don’t want to refund. They basically say I have to wait until it arrives.

Oh , you reviewed almost all my setup , I bought this akk dominator and the flycolor esc, I had to install this vtx on the back of my source one 7”, I had to buy a mmcx with L connector, with the original one I had to bend quite a lot to make it fit
AT least they are trying to build them properly, meaning the display and heat generating transmitting chip on the same side so you can mount for most efficient cooling and still see your channel display. Hey nice new intro to the channel! Nice as I don’t have to turn down the volume during the intro now, then turn it back up when the narration begins.
Honestly I’ve only had issues with AKK Ultimate X2, AKK Infinite (DVR). Poor range and especially for the Infinite one it’s hard to even find the desired power level, since there is no display.
Any recommendations how to get decent range with those?

As soon as I saw the title the first thing that came to mind is melted parts. lol I have a AKK race ranger and I cant even touch the thing once its powered up because it will leave harsh burns. I cant imagine how hot 2000mw would be.
I’d recommend power input both + and – on the battery pads and wiring the camera power coming from the 5v out on the VTX. Never have dirty video with that setup.
Smart audio goes to number 5. So if you switch to power nr 4 you already have 2000mw

1 Smart Audio: which protocole IRC Tramp or Tbs SmartAudio ?
2 if Tbs which type 1.0 ; 2.0 ; 2.1 ; US or EU ? (see betaflight/betaflight/wiki/VTX-tables)
3 Akk and few others didn’t implement the correct TBS smart audio protocol, resulting of impossibilities to have smartAudio working on betaflight (since BF 3.1 which result on updates firmware on Betaflight, when you are in a flashing BF process, just for these few Vtx).
And this is major issue for some of us.
For example despite trying a lot of BF versions with or without the updates, my smart audio AKK won’t work, but TBS smartaudio works on all my configurations.
4 If you mount it on a FC under betaflight 4.1 and up you need a VtxTable. Do you have a working one ?
And finally for all Vtx factory, I do not understand why they don’t provide a generic VtxTable (to customise by owners depending of national regulations) for each of their VTx, instead of having every customer spending time trying many configurations to figure out what should simply be in the specs.
In brief, as long as somebody don’t come with the working answers to these questions, AKK is a non go for me. And it’s too bad cause if the announced power is not marketting, but real, il run for this Vtx.
Well that was a long one, but I’m sure I’m not the only one struggling with these insufficient descriptions, thereforeif you have time to answer, you’ll please a lot of us.
