Long range u should turn horizon lines on in ur OSD. Should help do what you did easier, knowing u r level….
I’m sold! Pretty impressive to get video that far, that close to the ground. I use a budget 600mw VTX, Aomways, and a Hyperion patch antenna, but there is no way I would get video that far, at that altitude.

Looks like they still haven’t fixed the flicker in the video yet on the runcam eagle
Don’t get me wrong it looks much better but the old eagle was bad with the flickers would give me headaches switched to runcam monster cams didn’t get the flicker an now I’m running a split on my 4″ alien to see if the hype is real or not
For the competition does it matter if it isn’t 60fps?

awesome long-range! i just got a set of diversity goggles and was wondering what directional antenna i should get. i dont usually go too far, but i am thinking of trying out some mid-long range stuff. should i just get the irc 8db patch, or do you have any other reccomendations. Is it worth buying the “tuned” antenna? Does it make much of a difference of the stock crossfire antenna? I have yet to see below 90rssi with the stock at close to one mile ranges but I don’t really care much for the stock T style antenna.

3:45 you are definitely right about that type of video loss separating green pilots from the others! I’d guess part of that loss was also from the little bit of signal loss you get when you go from having nothing at all between the antenna on the quad and your goggles to having a bit of the frame in-between once you turn around and the quad is now facing you. One thing I’ve done when it’s been super severe the second I turned to come back is just turn back around facing where I was going and do some of those massive “Johnny-style sailing backwards reverse flick-it things” and throw in some like “sailing upside roll thingers” to test if the video is starting to get better until I’ve made it part of the way back and can get reasonable signal with the quad in between to finally turn around and come back like normal. (sry for the long as F– explanation, I hope you get what I mean! 🙂 Peace bro
