Project ‘Eclipse’ Episode 2 – World first 3D printed aluminium FPV racing drone
Project ‘Eclipse’, takes off on our maiden flight. Aluminium take to the sky.
Watch the amazing manoeuvrability of our drone and witness the top speed achieved on its first set of runs which we believe is a record for a 3D printed craft.

03:01 “Now if you break an arm you can simply print another one and off you
go.”
At €105.65 per arm this is probably not going to take off ( no pun intended
) =)
May I suggest a design including a 3D printed Plastic part acting as a
predetermined breaking point in case of a crash?
That way instead of breaking the expensive aluminium only available through
Shapeways you’ll only have to worry about replacing the plastic which can
actually be printed at home.
Just a thought =)
That looks really nice and robust. The heat dissipating was a new angle,
pretty cool (pun intended). Lumenier’s on quad blades sound insane. What
kinda lift numbers are we talking about on that combination and how much is
AUW?
