If you want to fpv this and have osd for the battery level. Plus an adjustable vtx to 200mW. Use an akk-a3 osd. The akk-a1 osd is 25mW with battery level too.
Both cameras use name tags in osd too so you can name your craft.
I recommend getting some fine tipped nail trimmers and cutting the prongs connecting the camera and vtx as its aio. Separate them and mount them appropriately to your design. Or keep together. Just some old usb wires would work as extending the cam from vtx.
I’d also switch battery cable for ph 2.0 or the new bt Connector. Either a Y harness for 2 1s batteries or a single lead. I’d imagine 2 350mah 1s high voltage batteries on a Y harness would be best.
Of you want to go even further. Make your own harness for a Cr123a battery and see if that at 2000mah gives the desired flight time. Using a separate charger for Cr123a Lithium Batteries.
Or a gopro Lithium battery. 1400mAh and up in those batteries.
Some cellphone batteries. I’d imagine an Older flip phone with a small enough battery would work. Giving a whopping 3000mAh and up 1s Lithium battery.
If you search hard and long then you could find the perfect setup for these little 1s units. Cars, boats, subs, planes, quads, wings…etc.
I run Cr123a on some of my 1s cars. 2000mah. 2 hours of run time with headlights, tail lights, underbody lights, vtx, camera, cooling fan for vtx and the car itself running on that battery too. Using a step up from 3v to 5v from battery to cars aio esc. Those cars run with a usb charge module with multiple solder pads for 3v and 5v with usb micro in for charging.
I’d also consider maybe trying some other rear props. If you have to trim blades, do it. A four or tri blade might give more stability or make it worse.
Only tests will tell the truth.

Brushed tail motor ? ?
I learned helis in about 2005. I was convinced my heli was defective. I’d spin up and it would smash into the ground. until I went on rcgroups and asked if it was just me or was it the heli. It was just me! ? then they lead me to rads school of flight or something like that and learned to hover tail in in a small box drawn on the ground. Stay in the box!
XK may also still make the K110 which is the same internals but has a light pvc cabin and just a carbon boom for the tail motor. 2 blade rotor. Much lighter overall with same 1S battery, just a light lighter so you get more speed and the 3D flying may be easier. I’ve had a few of them. Never had this one. Always like the way a heli looks and fly line of sight, with the swash plate design just like full scale helis. And the main rotor blades sound great when it’s ripping. ?
I’m so tired of that shit. I would have told him to leash his dog before I call animal control then to fuck off and google any stupid questions he has. There’s a wealth of information online. If you’re interested, learn it! like the rest of us in this hobby. Ain’t no free lesson in life and time is more valuable than money. Any free time I have I want spend it flying! Not explaing the price, flight time, speed, “oh you see through goggles” , what are the laws on those. Every question you answer that you hope is the last they have another then ask the same questions all over again.

I have had this heli for almost 3 years now and I still enjoy flying it although I have never thought about doing any fpv with it, good job Justin.
