Increasing the distance between arm mounting bolts lengthens the moment/lever arm. Increasing its ability to exert/resist forces. Like using a longer breaker bar to remove a stuck fastener.
Which is nice as an owner of 5”/6” roosters with floppy arms pre-spacers. Looks like that choice was at the expense to stack room. That’s a bummer.
Btw, you would really dig 6”, lots of grunt but super fun to cruise and some longer flight times too YMMV. And why not? Throw 6” arms on a rooster.
