The electric surfboard did not catch fire. Ha, you doubters! I have new stronger and better motors on the way right now! Look forward for PART 3!

I think putting electric motor ,etc in cone shaped housing ( shaped like a rocket) with threaded access from the back. Maybe have system on a lightweight track to slide out for access. Looks like very good system, fun and fast, but would add larger fin for stability.
You can use conformal coating for the electronics in the box + controller. This will waterproof them and save you bucks and time in repairs. Believe me I sent a fpv drone into the water and flew it back in the air on the same day
What I meant was should have three fins together in back with larger one in the middle. Motorized kayaks use that system.
super sick invention
Hydrophobic spray might work for electronics to water proof them I guess
cant wait for part 3
First I can make you a box, 3d printed and then covered in 2 layers of fiberglass and it will not leak. A seal and squash plate around the motors and your solid. I offer this service free because its cool!
Simon, the absolute best way to waterproof electronics is MG chemicals silicone conformal coating. Paints right on to the pcb and can subsequently be submerged, no epoxy, hassle to make waterproof casings. Use it on all my quads like many do.
Should make the motors water cooled like in high performance rc boats? Maybe use a gas weed whacker engine?
Can I have our broken esc, jk, you should burn it
I surf every day I would love to test that thing
Possibly streamline the box which will keep water from pressurizing at speed against a straight wall, reducing likelihood of flooding?
Electric, pffft.. use a real Motor my Friend ! ✌☺?
legends
Have to build this for these fuccking rivers in Germany. Woooohooo, surfing incoming
Why did you switch languages
Pleaseeeee do up part 3. I’ve been waiting to see these motors up ?
Use a gasket? To prevent water from entering the box. And also, using silicone for certain parts of the box could do the job.
get a patent
keep at it.
Have you tried applying conformal coating to waterproof the electronic?
So you were controlling a drone like you would with a camera on a stick and controlling the board?
Nice board.
I thought $3000 might be alot but youtube had an ad for some commercial ones on the side and checked them out. The cheapest was 15,000 pounds! Yours is a bargain!
Use that flex shot, flex tape or get a can of flex seal and put a couple of layers on the inside of the box to make it be water proof. Oh yeah, use lexan to build both boxes(battery housing and electric housing) and then use clamps and seals to make the lid water proof. For the controller take it apart and use flex seal to make it water proof. Or you can use sliacone to make every thing water proof. But remember if you drill a hole or put a screw or bolt in make sure you seal up around them. You seem like a smart guy and this is the first video I’ve watched of yours. I hope some of this helps ya out. I’ve had to make alot of stuff water proof.
For the water-proofing issue be sure to use some conformal coating on the circuitry! I bet it would even waterproof your transmitter if you did it meticulously!
Dude looks like Silver Surfer
you can epoxy the electronics to water proof them
WOW!! So jealous :O 😀 Keep it up! … I think you could kickstart that sh
Wait. What just happened?
where the heck am I?
oh jeez i fell into youtube again
Awesome project
Have u tried putting in a little pump in the box to extract the water while u ride.
Looks like with a little more surface area aft of the pump outlet and some nozzle down you can get some stern lift which will increase performance really well. The shape of the hull reducing in width towards the back is hindering you it has enough power to really get you out of the water but not enough aft wetted surface. Hence it sits down in the ass
Have not read anny comments but if you can borrow anny sort of Garmin or other GPS tracker you then cam upload the video to Garmin virb and then the GPS data and then add templates to the recorded fotages. Cheers
This looks sooooo much fun!!!!!!!!
Dude hu don’t you buy a waterproof case???
Get a small hand held transmitter from a boosted board ?
