      I have to admit I’m with Pete on the Skyraider design, though no complaints about the models, flying, nor videography. They sure looked beautiful to some of the grunts in Vietnam, however??

      I know today’s military is in love with mini-guns and rotary cannons but believe me when I say, the four 20 mike mike cannon these skyraiders carried were %^&*(#$ impressive back when I was still young on the outside. Jim

      Always happy to witness American aircraft being honored so well. The F8F Bearcat was the fastest climbing prop driven airplane of its day. At 6,000 feet per minute, it was well ahead of any competition. The wingtips were designed to break off in heavy G load pull outs; to reduce strain on the main spar.

      I laughed my ass off at the title of “Piss ugly Skyraiders.” The Skyraider’s vertical stabilizer always looks undersized to me and the squared off bottom corner looks unfinished.
