hey Stu, would you recommend Tyro79 kit for the first build? To learn how to solder and connect the electronics? Or for the first build it would be better to use bigger frame – just to have more space? I never built a drone and never soldered, but I want to start with something cheap, because I’ll probably fck up something :/ Would you recommend other kits except of this for first build, and to have accompanying video walkthrough? I’m thinking of something cheap, just to learn how to solder and connect&configure everything.

Ok so i bought this quad haven’t assembled it yet but i need a batt I’m a noob to race drones i have whoops and 1 130mm bnf brushed fpv race drone! All that being said I’m looking for recommendations for what size battery i should start of with for my tyro79?

Don’t bother trying to buy, Bangood sucks ass! i ordered 2 and they were in stock 2/25/19, as soon as i placed the order they were back ordered with in minutes claiming ship date of 3/3/19 which they didn’t, i checked the website today and they are not going to ship till 3/31/19 if you order one now!!! i want to cancel but cant get a hold of them to do so. all these guys doing videos and posting links to bangood should be ashamed of themselves! just buy a XJB from another website like RDQ!!! screw eachine and bangood!
3.5.19 Update! I have tried all day to contact bangood to cancel order. No luck at all. Phone number no good, no response from email and live chat is a joke….don’t buy from bangood!!!!! Buyer be warned!!!! I just pissed away 170 bucks!!!!!! Again I will shame all video guys posting links to bangood!!!
Update 3.8.19 had to complain through pay pal. Then they finally contacted me, but I had to clear my complaint with paypal before they would ship, still not telling me when it would ship. So I canceled my order. Which they did immediately, 2 days and no refund…..buyer beware!!!!
Andrew Crane I actually like the quad. But you are correct. Quality control sucks. I received the wrong connections for the camera. Luckily, I have a Foxeer micro that worked. If not, I would have been screwed

The newer tyro 79s have addressed the 4 pin camera socket, and put in a 3 pin socket.

Used this tyro79 to make a 3” cinewhoop and I do t think there could be a better cheaper Gopro carrier

They are a good little machine. The supplied props are shit and mine had screws missing but I worked around it.
The “antenna bracket” at the back can take a sma connector fastened through it so you can attach a removable antenna.
And the “roll bars” over the stack can easily be removed via the four screws that holds it to the base plate.
I have thrash and crashed mine for about 8 months on and off, gone through a few props ( to be expected) but apart from that no problems.
