VOLARE CON IL DRONE: La Rocca Viscontea di Castell’Arquato01:19

La Rocca Viscontea è un castello medievale situato a Castell’Arquato, in provincia di Piacenza.
E’ stata costruita nella metà del 1300 sopra una struttura già esistente, di epoca romanica, chiamata Castrum Quadratum.
La sua torre è alta 35 metri e domina il borgo assieme a tutta la Val d’Arda. Sovrasta l’intero complesso il mastio, un tempo isolato, perno della difesa urbana e del sistema di sorveglianza dell’intera vallata.

La leggenda narra che nel 1620 il Cardinale Sforza condanna a morte, con l’accusa di tradimento, il valoroso Sergio Montale assieme al suo servitore, Spadone. Vengono rinchiusi nelle segrete del castello ma la figlia del carceriere, Laura, innamorata follemente di Sergio, rubò le chiavi della cella al padre, riuscendo così a liberare gli ostaggi.
Passi furtivi nella notte gli consentirono di arrivare fino all’uscita della Rocca, ma qualcosa non andò per il verso giusto, vennero scoperti.
All’improvviso Laura sentì le urla del padre, Gaspare Della Vigna, mentre precipitava dal ponte.
A spingerlo è stato il suo assistente, da sempre innamorato della bella Laura.
Vennero circondati dagli Armigeri, furono processati e impiccati.
Spadone riuscì a fuggire e dopo qualche anno di latitanza vendicò Sergio uccidendo l’assassino. Spadone fu graziato dal Podestà e finì la vita nella prigione della Rocca dove ancora oggi si aggira assieme alle anime di Laura e Sergio.

Rocca Viscontea is a medieval castle located in Castell’Arquato, in the province of Piacenza.

They are locked up in the dungeons of castle, but the daughter of the jailer, Laura, madly in love with Sergio, stole the keys to the cell from her father, thus managing to free the hostages.
Stealthy footsteps in the night allowed them to reach the exit of the fortress, but a curse fell over their heads; They were discovered.
Suddenly Laura heard the screams of her father, Gaspare Della Vigna, as she fell from the bridge. His assistant, who has always been in love with the beautiful Laura, pushed him.
They were surrounded by the Armigeri, were tried and hanged.
Spadone managed to escape and after a few years on the run he avenged Sergio by killing the murderer. Spadone was pardoned by the Podestà and ended his life in the Rocca prison where he still roams today with the souls of Laura and Sergio.
