In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew reviews the Walkera Voyager 5. The flight testing begins with a demonstration of the compass calibration procedure. Next is a side-by-side comparison of the two flight modes. The first is called “Beginner” or “Easy” mode, and the second is called “Common” or “Sport” mode, which allows the aircraft to fly faster and complete more aggressive maneuvers. Next, the 30x optical zoom camera is tested, demonstrating occasional issues with drifting focus and visible Jello at high levels of magnification. Two camera gimbal modes are also tested and demonstrated: “Follow” mode and “Lock” mode. The video concludes with a supervised gimbal stability test and a flight endurance test.

Nice to see other manufacturers that can compete with DJI. Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of DJI but I think competition is good for the market. It will drive innovation and probably help keep prices in check.
The camera is impressive at 30x mechanical zoom in but costing around $17,000 dollars for the entire package is even more expensive than the DJI matrice M200 drone which only cost $5,000 dollars.
What about flight range? I assume it’s less than a mile since it’s using plain old WiFi, correct?
What happend to the “Signing off” ? 😀
A little jello???? ha… Jello city!!!
