Damn. If they had those back in my early flying days I would still have the SuperCub that I loved and lost. A fog bank rolled in, I ditched with signal and power but had no idea where I came down — shouldn’t have been flying in those conditions, but I was new. It there a dedicated voltage checker for DJI Drones [Mavic, Spark, etc.] ? I know the interface on the controller shows the volts info … just curious. Enjoy your channel !!

Nearly ALL modern electronic speed controls have a built in lipo shut off to prevent over discharge. With some you have to set the cell count of the battery you are using, with others they self detect by battery voltage, so in most cases an aux battery monitor is not necessary.

Something that is REALLY IMPORTANT to mention is that these don’t play nice with any sort of on board compass.
If you have an aircraft with GPS and compass, do not fly with this attached, or if you do, make sure it is as far away from the compass as possible.
Compasses work from the earths magnetic field, these have little speakers with magnets inside that overpower the earths magnetic field if they are to close to the compass.
I use a sharpie to put a black mark by the negative side of the pins. That way, when I go to use it, all I have to do is line up the black mark with the black wire on the balance lead.

What to buy next …..I’m retired and don’t have the 1,000 dollars for a DJI drone maybe have half with out the wife getting upset.lol
But worry as soon as I buy one a better one will come on the market. So is there a time of year that they seem to release them.
