This old man forgot that the DJI Goggles connect with the Mavic drones using 2.4 GHZ. That is a good frequency unless you live in a neighborhood with hundreds of houses with WiFis.
I have been flying at the park recently and never lost connection. But on this day I took off from my front yard using the goggles expecting to fly out of my neighborhood. I was “surprised” when my Mavic 2 zoom began to lose contact with the goggles.
After I returned home I created this video explaining my experience and showing how to switch between goggles at 2.4 and using a tablet with 5 G to fly greater distances. Live and learn as they say in plane crashes 🙂
Thanks for the help of Grandson Ryan.
Thanks for watching. Enjoy and God bless.
Now that is very interesting… I’m reading that dji goggles RE supports also 5.8 GHZ but I’m not sure if you can use that for the mavic rather than only for fpv drones.. because they say analog 5.8 GHZ..
In all the other videos I saw about the goggles I couldnt find nobody pointing out this “problem”… maybe they are sponsored and apparently in your honest review you are not. So.. I really appreciate it!
Well, shooo,it’s all complicated stuff ?.all the best Mr Kent. Thanks ?
There is always a catch
The final of this video is funny 🙂 I am seeing me like that from a few years from now 🙂
Sometimes I say Bebop on other Drone Videos LOL
