What I don’t get is why people seem content to let their quad keep running upside-down/caught in obstructions/etc until the prop blades are all gone or motors burn up.
My cheap toy Mavic clone has both automatic shutoff on high current draw to help save motors that are obstructed, and a panic button to kill all power. Do more expensive quads lack these seemingly basic safety features?

I’ve seen a lot of these, and this one gets my prize for WORST pilots.
I wish my drone had an onboard mic like so many of these do. I’ve had tons of drones and they never have one.

My crash at 14.08 lol? I was about 1 mile out and did not have enough battery to make it home so it auto landed in the tree. I managed to recover it after 3 hours of searching . It needed a new arm and that was it very lucky. Mavic 2 zoom.

Personally I fly a Phantom 3 Standard and I’ve yet to crash it in a year of flying. These idiots really amaze me with how recklessly they fly (excluding the fpv race quad pilots, I love watching those).
I can see why the one in the snow crashed. The sensors couldn’t discern how close the ground was because of all the solid white.

Some could be error. Some could be drone malfunction. A lot shot at high risk areas.
There are so many variables. I had a crash 7 months in with my mavic and it was deemed non pilot error by dji. It basically flew away on its own.
