Can’t wait to try this out. Nice work!!!
+BMSWEB Thanks, hope you will continue to enjoy it!
It works great with taranis 🙂
+kbicd +John Holme Yeah Great work John. A way to increase filp/roll rate
maybe good, as with my XBOX controller flips are quick but with the Taranis
maximum throw appears limited in the ‘controller map’ screen. With the
Taranis the little numbers only move 1/2 that compared to when using the
XBOX controller. Both have full throws when being calibrated under the
Windows ‘Game Controller Setting’ > ‘Calibration’ configuration…. so a
bit of a strange one.
+Callidus80 Thanks, I think there might be a setting in the Taranis where
you can increase the throw (I don’t own one myself so I’m not sure how it
works). Maybe there is a clue in the PDF (not written by me)
Nope. I want to have faster rolls/flips so 100 is 100. There is no wat to
send bigger value as input.
btw I just bought full version. Waiting for updates ;-). Cheers
+kbicd Yes, custom settings is on the to-do list. Thanks for your support!
will it be on IOS?
+John Holmvall hi i was wondering something. i see that you are coming out
with more and more updates and additions to this game in the full version.
if i have the paid version, how do i update it without having to buy a new
one each time to get the updates??
+Howler FPV If you have purchased it you never have to pay for it again.
You can just download the updated version using the same link that you got
with your purchase confirmation email.
oh yea ok thanks!
hi, i just bought the full version on-line, but when at checkout i may have
miss spelt my last name which a noticed as i hit pay, im not sure if it
matters, but my name should be Alex Howell, and NOT Alex Hoell!
+Howler FPV Thanks for your support! I don’t think that matters.
Big supporter of this, Flys great. Fantastic tool.
+Callidus80 Thanks, I appreciate it!
Played for a while today, looks really solid, especially with Taranis.
Please keep working on it! I recommend focusing more on mechanics and
physics rather than bling.
+multirotor.wiki Thanks! I agree that the mechanics/physics is the most
important aspect.
just tried the free version.. pretty cool… still rooms for improvement, a
few things from me so far:
1. need higher rate,
2. need wide angle FPV view, like fish eye effect
3. stick response is slower than reality, even slower than other simulators.
4. need a control panel where you can adjust settings
+John Holmvall oh.. and option for adjusting camera tilted angle as well 😀
i found myself flying so fast i was looking at the ground 😀
+Oscar Liang
Thank you for you feedback!Yes I am planning to add the ability to adjust
various settings, so you can tune it to your personal preferences.
+John Holmvall The latest version now has user settings for rates, camera
and physics.
+John Holmvall including the demo version?
+Oscar Liang Custom settings is in the full version only.
Great ! Need just something to adjust the camera angle, I only see the
ground when I fly fast !
On Mac,you just need to install OpenTx Companion, after just create a new
profile and plug it on the mac with a simple USB cable ! Nothing more !
+Gilles Manzato
Thanks! Good to hear that the integration with Mac is so simple and
straight forward.
Bought it yesterday and have already logged 4 or 5 hours on it! I’m new to
this hobby and have saved so much time and money on my early learning, I
suspect! Loving it!
Is development ongoing? Any chance for a higher ceiling and more/custom
maps?
I also noticed you can change camera and mode, but not rates via the
controller. :)
+stormbreaker932 Glad to hear you like it and that it has been of help as a
learning tool!
Yes, development is ongoing, I am working on a Custom Settings screen right
now.
More maps are also planned. And yes, higher ceiling.
What about Mode 2 (Europe)? As i can see this is only in Mode 1!
+kazbak1 If you have the latest version, it’s actually called “Calibrate
Controller” now. It’s on the main menu screen, blue button on the right
side.
+John Holmvall Yup I managed to do that but it still throttles up like
crazy the second I click on any of the three options. Have you had that
issue?
+kazbak1 What three options? What controller are you using? Have you
control over the throttle at all?
+John Holmvall The main three options being desert, island or meadow. Using
an Taranis X9D. Negative, go no control throttle at all.
+kazbak1 Ok then you should be fine. If you are using Windows, you can have
a look at this document on how to set up your Taranis to work with the sim:
Followed the .pdf instructions for my Taranis but still no stick controls.
Anyone know how to get it working with my Mac?
+Robt Conrad Don’t have a Mac myself but according to a lot of people it
works just plugged in as it is. So you shouldn’t change the settings
according to the PDF, that is for Windows.
I bought the full version and wow I’m impressed! This is really addictive!
Thumbs up for those who made this! I like the Island the most, the
combination of all the trees, the path inbetween them and the treehouse
really offer a lot of playability. If you ever do a follow up, you should
make it more like that. A level about a playground might be fun, with a
swing, a seasaw, a climbing rack and some trees. Or a level about a farm
with an open field, stacks of hay, a fence you can fly under and some
ditches maybe.
One thing that I found annoying though, is that you can’t turn off the
sound of the quad in the menu. Now I have to turn all the sound off on my
laptop if I don’t want to hear the buzzing of the props. Just a suggestion.
+Thibaut Niels Thanks for your feedback! Very good suggestions. I like them
and will consider them for future updates.
+John Holmvall Woww!!! That was fast!!! I saw you added the Playground and
fixed the sound button. You FF’in rock! Thank you for considering my
feedback! I will recommend this simulator to all my friends. You made me a
big fan! Thank you!
+Thibaut Niels Thanks, I’m glad you appreciate it!
Does this work with a turnigy 9x? What do i need?
+Jojo Polinga It should work fine, as long as you can get your Turnigy 9x
to be recognized in Windows. Either with a USB cable or dongle. I don’t own
a 9x myself.
+Jojo Polinga try this one :
Thank you. Ordered one now. Does smart propoplus work? The one you use for
FMS?
+Jojo Polinga I haven’t tried it, but if you do – let me know if it works,
it would be interesting to know.
sweet!
This is really cool! I got the full version and donated a bit extra :).
Some cool things there, but can you add functions so you can ‘tune’ the
quad? I find it overshoots (doesn’t snap when you let go of the stick,
making it hard to fly) and I really want to tune that out :)
+X Copter Glad to hear, thank you for your support! Yes I am aware that it
overshoots a bit, I will have to think about how to correct that in a good
way. In the meantime, you might try to lower the Mass and increase the
Angular Drag on the custom settings screen.
+John Holmvall Yeah I did that! Made it better but still not perfect.
How about to add some kind of tuning controller that we can mess around
with?
+X Copter Well the simulator is based on physics like mass, drag etc. but I
will look into it and try to find a way to get a more locked-in feel.
Loving this simulator!
I’d love some larger maps tho with more structures and trees and stuff, and
less like the desert witch just an open area with very very limited objects
around :)
+hayvosh I’m glad to hear that! Yes, more larger maps are planned for
coming updates.
Fun! Is this modeled after real FPV 250 flying? I’ve never done it
before. Is it very similar in real world?
+mistertentpole Glad to hear that you like it! Well, it’s meant to be
similar to the real world. I have got feedback from many FPV flyers who
thinks that it is close to real life.
In the full version you can also tune the settings to your preference.
Here is the FPV freerider simulator, great for those windy and wet days ,
when we cant get there for real !
Aaaah love to get my hands on this software
Oh no says my wife another oppertunity to spend time on your hobby 🙂
+Hans HeyuDude Haha at least you don’t have to spend as much money on spare
parts 🙂
It’s available here:
good one!:) liked!
+the best Fpv videos Thanks!
hi, i try demo in windows 7 and see only purple lines, can you help me?
+John Holmvall – Waiting for new maps, simple osd, clear screen without any
message and maybe “fantom mode” – mode for flying with pan and tilt camera)
+ZBestReview – Обзоры электроники и РУ моделей! That must be awesome to be
able to connect you video glasses!
Yes, new features are planned!
+John Holmvall – thx, How do I know about new version?)
+ZBestReview – Обзоры электроники и РУ моделей! I will send out an email
to those who have purchased it whenever there is a new major update.
+John Holmvall – thx! Waiting for update)
hello Thanks for your work, I’m realy adict for your soft, this is a French
explication of your setting and use for setting Taranis for W8.1
if you dont want my video, you can tall me and I delet-it.
I hope you have time and energy for more maps or “maps building”. good by !
+Pablo Sotes Very nice tutorial, thanks for taking the time to make it!
Yes, more maps are planned 🙂
Very good !! Have many friends ask me for futaba compatibilty…? But
taranis are the Best 0//
+Pablo Sotes I know there are people who have been able to use their Futaba
radios.
Is there a way I could import my own 3d maps?
