I recently bought the TX16S but not got around to going through the manual and the various inâs and outâs of the radio yet.
I really dont like the red parts or the tan slide grips but the silver is something i had planned for my TX16s but was going to put a Jumper T16 top section on it because the matt black on the TX16s is a dumb idea which marks if you even just look in its direction!
Its great that new color options are available, im gonna get straight to searching for the new shells!!

I’m in the same opinion as you Andrew, the QX7 is the radio that can do everything and feels just right!
My current radio is the Q X7S which I like very much. I still fly some models using the older V8 series receivers but have gone onto the X series for their telemetry. A question for you sir, when popping a module in or out of the bay do you think it best to first power down the radio or do you feel it’s just fine to “hot swap” them? I’ve always wondered about that and you brought it to mind again. Thanks.

What is the advantages of hall sensor gimbals ?
Hi Andrew, all – the folding handle is indeed a great improvement. I had designed one, back in april, an placed it on thingiverse here . Radiomaster’s new handle looks very much alike đ You can use it to replace the fixed handle on the Radiomaster TX16S. It also fits the Jumper T16. I have put different lengths of the handle on Thingiverse. Of course you need access to a 3D printer, but when you do: it is a very simple print and great upgrade to the radio. Hope it may be of use to some of you out there đ

There are 2 types for the QX7. M7 and M7R (racing), both have similar characteristics, by the packaging it looks like you got the M7R.
You will certainly notice the difference with the HS Gimbals.

Hi Andrew. Again you have done a proper and truthful overview of the FrSky ACCESS protocol. I get so irate at the miss information, and lies, that is spread about a company that the RC hobby owes a lot to. Nothing is for ever but as yet FrSky have done nothing wrong and the “influencers” that criticize them for a lack of backwards compatibility obviously haven’t understood the XJT module. I will say that FrSky could do with improving their website and communication, it’s OK for people that understand what’s what, but for newbies it would be quite confusing. Outstanding content during lock down, by the way. Stay safe and keep up the good work.

Perhaps if you get time you could do a video on swapping out the the Gimbals for the Hall Effect ones
I have considered upgrading my Gimbals but have been reluctant to do so as I do not want to damage my Tx !!
I’ve seen several videos showing them in colors, but all I see via everyone’s links are gold, silver and fake carbon. Where do I find silver and red or black and red?
