  Im seeing a lot of fpv footage on youtube and its very grainy and staticy even on review videos that say everything is great so is the technology not here to make smooth fpv cams/recivers/goggles and the only way to get clear footage like this is to have another camera mounted and fly with grainy vid in goggles?

  For a FPV goggles, transmitter, drone, batteries, and propellers, I would say $300 minimum. The Redcat Carbon 210 + Eachine EV800D is what I started out with. I would highly recommend the Redcat Carbon 210 for a beginner. Plus, it comes with a transmitter. I still fly mine and I love it. It is manageable for a beginner but it is no slouch.

  An FPV feed can’t have any latency (time delay) because you will crash. As of right now, the only way to achieve a lightweight, minimal latency video feed is by using an analog video signal, which is what you are referring to. A digital signal would look amazing but it would have unacceptable latency. Everything you say would be delayed by like half of a second or more and flying would become impossible.
