Interesting! Glad you came out all right on that quad. Thanks!
take care because that props like to break in mid air
A titanium shaft upgrade on those AOKs won’t cost much I assume, probably $0.85 for a single shaft and a naked bottom conversion won’t have an effect on price at all judging by the recent Hyperlite motors. If AOKfly are listening then they could make these changes and it’ll only be $1 more than the current 2306 and it’ll be tougher as well as lighter to boot.
I did build two Xero S5M based quads with the exact same components except the motors. One got F40Pro 2400kv and the other one the GTS 2306 2400kv from inRCPOWER. I’m just on the way to approve my racing flying skills but I can say that those two quads with the same spec behave absolutely different. The quad armed with F40Pro’s is insane fast and feels sensitive in all movements compare to the other one. The weight difference between them is about 3.5 – 4 g/motor. One more observation on the GTS2306 – the first 10-15 sec when pushing the throttle there is a yaw twitching and I find out that the cause could be to strong magnets (N52H). Twitching was partly eliminated when I increased the “I” on yaw. Just my thoughts 🙂
Did the video noise went away when u last time test it before u decided to swap out the motor for 2204?
