Stopped by Excel to pick up some props and they offered to let me test fly the Fat Shark 101.This is a beginner drone kit that comes with a transmitter, goggles, and a 2S brushed FPV drone for $250.
I typically recommend Tiny Whoops as a good entry into the hobby but this might be a good new option that provides an experience more similar to full size race and freestyle drones..
After flying at Excel I me up with some of the local crew to fly a bit at a bando so stick around for some freestyle

Best beginner drone? Kingkong/LDARC ET100 is a good contender – tough as nails.

Brushed sucks, and in no way I would recommend a beginner to spend freaking 250$ in a shitty kit, if I still want a shitty kit for a cheaper price that does the job EXACTLY as this one I would go for el cheapo Eachine full kit for 65$.
When I saw the price of fs kit I was like WTF, but the wtf was even bigger when I saw and listened to people recommending it as a good option. omg…

You get a hglrc xjb145 for $149 a flysky i6x for $45 and eachine 006 goggles for $39.. all proper hobby grade things to grow with and the quad itself is, imo, the best quad you can buy for the less than $200 price range… or if you’re patient and wait for a deal like my first quad you can get an emax x4 with lightning escs and red bottoms with battery and flysky transmitter for $75!!! Or like last week I got a 6s rated 5 inch darkmax for $99 with an xm plus included..
If small is your thing the fullspeed bat 100 1s is truly a masterpiece and a 2.5” leader 120 can even get you a multigp spec racer for less than $120 each!!
Best budget starter goggles eachine 006’s $35-$45 and can easily be modded with a fatshark module, larger batteries and dvr
