First comment! :). I’ve seen these before, good to learn about then
Love it???
The storesafe only appears to discharge the battery as a whole and not by each cell. So how can they say that it discharges to 3.85v/cell. If the battery has a weak cell then I think that it may become overdischarged.
Andrew I’ve been dying to see a Shed video, I want to see the crazy amount of planes you have, please consider. BTW: great vid ?
Love my VIFLY Smoke Saver. Still learning how to hook everything up. Already saved me a bunch of money and grief.
Hi Andrew, on a different note. Do u know if u have the new Mini Talon V2 or pro Talon on the way for review ? I saw one on AliExpress today.
Can Smart Audio (Green wire) transmit audio?
can i hear that audio (sound) in my goggles?
That discarger seems a waste of time, at less than 0.1 amps it would take days to discarge down to storage voltage. Also it does not balance …

VIFLY ShortSaver 2 details:
–The Discharger you will never use. I bought an ISDT FD-100 and I’ve never, ever used it. Most worthless piece of kit ever. You’re always charging up, never down.
–The SmokeSaver looks more interesting, if it also has some kind of spark arrestor built in. I’m getting tired of that discoverting spark pop sound when connecting a battery on the bench.
-I bought the ViFly Lost Model Finder. Can’t say I’m all that happy with it. Not very loud, and no real easy way to move it from quad to quad. You have to solder it in. Mine lives in a pill bottle in my refrigerator and I have no idea what storage level the built in battery is at. Is a pain to storage charge it as I have to use a 2s battery tray to charge it. In restrospect I wish I had gotten the one with a screw on / screw off battery compartment and replacable hearing aid battery.

My only concern with the discharger is its discharge rate as it’s quite low which means it’ll take a lot of time. I usually discharge packs for longer periods of storage. But I have many packs so doing them one-by-one would keep me up for days. Since I usually charge multiple packs with parallel charge boards I use those same boards connected to an array of 12V incandescent bulbs in parallel. Each 50W bulb will present 4+ amps of load as I screw them in. I have four of them lined up. That way I can discharge a multitude of packs at once at up to ~ 18 amps. Since I do so with the charge boards I also connect their balance plugs which are then collectively connected to a cell checker which beeps when at storage voltage. Works quite well.
