Hey there Tigger! another great and fun review! .. you know if you do get the Bugs 2 sorted, might be a great video to put it up against the CG035 and X16. i am thinking on creating a poor man’s Phantom, even though the Bugs 2 doesn’t look to have the clearance to run with a gimbal.
next.review the x21 🙂
do you have an idea on how I can mount a camera with the yi form factor?
you got balls I actually just flew over water with my hubsan in North Carolina
the X21 looks even better with GPS in controller and gimbal camera
great video, any idea how to mount a Hawkeye Firefly Q6 camera? which mounting im gonna need?
just recieved my new x16 for $127 gearbest, spare batteries a bit pricey, anyone know what the (c) discrarge rate is on the stock battery? not printed on battery,
Would you recommend this of the bugs 3 for some arial photography/videos for some smooth shots? They are around 10usd difference now so i’m torn.
heres something to check out reguarding the x16 and its supplied lipo, they are wired backwards, by that i mean the quad has the female plug, the lipo has the male, a lipo with a male plug such as a deans plug would be a big fire hazard, you dont realize its wrong untill you try to buy a lipo other than the one sold by bayangtoys, these plugs used on the x16 are supertiger banana plugs, i am not going to buy anymore stock batteries, no u.s. suppliers i can find so shipping going to be a month from china, the solution? venom 3s 2200 mah 30c sold TWO for $48right now on ebay, shipping about a week or less, they have the female banana plug identical to the x16 plugs, the fix? swap the quad plug with the stock lipo plug, put the male plug ON THE QUAD where it belongs, now all the batteries will plug in,,,great video by the way, how many quads you have on the bottom of that pond?
oops,, it gets even worse, in addition to swapping the plug on the quad with the plug on the bayangtoys lipo, i realize the wires will need to be unlocked from the plugs on both and reversed,,thats if you want your x16 compatible with other batteries on the market, in fact, here is the scary part, if you got the stock lipo in the same room with the venom lipo, they would actually plug togeather with reverse polarity, instant huge short and fire, i am really questioning WHY did they do this, oh, toy grade versus hobby grade? look at your x16 lipo, look at the photo of the fly venom 2200 on line, the venom is correct, ill void my warranty, i dont care, am going to correct my x16 with a male plug to fit the venoms, and change the male plug on the stock lipo to female, as i should have been,
final comment, the low down, you will not be using any other hobby grade lipos untill you get that female plug off the quad,, the polarity between your quad and supplied lipo is hobby grade CORRECT however both plugs need to be swapped,(change places) if you just snip off and swap the polarity will be wrong,,bad things will happen if you connect, the leads cannot be simply popped out and switched, the plastic shrouds are slid on leads before soldering on the bullits, then bullits pulled into shrouds from the front, after exstensive search i located the correct FLYZONE SUPERTIGER male/female bullit plugs and plastic shroud set at atlanta hobby for about$7 including shipping, i looked for a simple adapter but could not find, you will be soldering both male bullits on your quad leads, females on you lipo, pay close attention to polarity, hope this helps others, it will void my warranty(crap anyway) but i am correcting mine, the new flyzone venom 2200 lipos have been engineered for aircraft, not r.c. cars, supposed to be lighter, more power, longer duration, we shall see,,,
I liked your comment about not needing to calibrate the compass before every flight. So just today I took my X16 GPS out to me regular field, waited for my Satellites, took off and flew out a 100 meters, did RTH, and it came back and landed just inches away from where it took off. TiggerRC is right again! I learn something from your channel on a regular basis.
