The Bugs 6 is a low cost, yet very sporty brushless quadcopter. Lets compare it to the more costly Bugs 8, and then take it for a spin. Find it here and use $28 off coupon: HTY28BUG6 https://goo.gl/V6VXLU
Pros
– Full 250 sized drone. Essentially a low cost basic stripped down version of the Bugs 8 (no camera, no DVR, no FPV, no goggles, and no monitor). Yet still a sporty flier. You can also install your own all in one FPV camera if you still desire FPV flying.
– Fast and maneuverable in high rate.
– Includes telemetry warnings of low battery and poor reception of transmitter. The quadcopter’s transmitter/controller will beep if received signal at the quadcopter becomes weak, or if the quadcopter’s battery level becomes low. Also the quadcopter beeps if signal is lost/transmitter turned off (helps when finding a lost quadcopter in tall grass).
– 1806 1600 KV brushless motors, with 10 A ESC’s. ESC’s have motor lock protection to stop the motors should propellers be blocked (such as in a crash).
– 7.4V 1500mah battery.
– Up to 300 meter range possible with its controller transmitter.
Cons
– “Not for beginner fliers!” Beginners trying to fly this will hurt themselves, hurt others, hurt their dog/cat, damage property, break/lose their quadcopter, get sued, create enemies, cause that little old lady next door to call the cops on you, or all of the above. Beginners, strongly recommend that you start with a safe, lightweight, and durable drone to make mistakes with and learn what not to do, such as the Syma X5C https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y93vzA-KRlM
– It has problems with flips and rolls when in forward flight. It wants to level off first before allowing tilt to resume forward flight.
– No carbon fiber components for impact strength in crashes. Nearly an all plastic quadcopter. Yet appears to be much stronger than other brushless competitors in this price range (JJRC X1 and X2).
– Full manual (stabilized) flying with no headless, one key return, or altitude hold available.
– Only six axis stabilized flight possible. No acro, or horizon mode, and no possibility of modifying flight parameters of the flight control board.

Hi, I find that this is off balance without the camera to counterweight in front, it may flip and recover better with the camera version 🙂
where I could buy an extra battery for this???
how fast can it go
i will say i didnt learn this flying style from quadcopter 101 but i like it…
Hi do you know if you can use other brands of props for the bugs 6 .
I was able to install both the Spektrum VA1100 and VA2500 all-in-one 5.8!GHz FPV units, complete with their own batteries, completely internal to the camera bay. I used Velcro to attach the camera inside the camera bay. The cover snaps over the 3 leaf clover RHCP antenna of either unit. The cameras are Fat Shark compatible. Great video BTW!
I love this, but sadly it crashed. I heard one beep for getting out of range, I tried to lower it and bring it back but kept going. I recovered on a street, no visible damage but 3 motors would not spin. FPV had stopped sooner, so I wonder if there was wifi / cell tower interference from the baseball field bublic wifi etc.
Wonder if the range alert threshold is lower than the Bugs 3. there was some breeze but nothing major. I ordered the basic one thanks to your coupon for 67 USD and I will transfer the camera. Could not find spare motors for Bugs 6, only for Bugs 3 ( my guess was that they would fit), but at $40, I felt if something else was wrong it was more convenient to get a new one and use the crashed one for parts. I like that it is a lot more portable than the Bugs 3, and anyway, Bugs 3 batteries fit in it. Seems to hover better, but I wonder if the telemetry is not as good as B3’s.
can’t you get the 6 with fpv goggles and camera for like $130 or less? …so that works be a bugs 8 just with the 6 shell? …I’m confused
Thanks for that coupon 101! It’s still working as of the last week of July.
What are spare parts like for this? I have bought many drones, and after a while parts (props, motors, etc) become unavailable. Which I can’t see motors going randomly bad on these like the old ominus drones(not comparable by any means lol)
Hello I just took the Bugs 6 out for the first flight and I’m only going out about 20 to 30 meters and the controller starts beeping and it was fully charged any idea why?
