My quadcopter’s ESC burst into flame with trail of smoke. I have a newly build quad that had a total failure of 1 EMAX Bullet 30 amp ESC on it’s 3rd battery pack. I just started to do some punch-outs straight up. On the third one the ESC simply flamed out! My quad fell about 50 feet without damage, except for one ESC to replace.
I’ve heard ESC burnout failure is rare. Please leave a comment if this has ever happened to you.

I have been using the emax bullets on my racing builds and also had the same issue with esc 2 burning out on me quite a few times. Most of those times was most probably because of the weather conditions and the water getting in somewhere to the esc. As far as flying indoors goes I have not had one burn out on me because of overcurrent-ing or anything like that. 😉
