A Sandy Saltwater Sunset – A FPV Racing Drone Experience
After days of rain and poor weather, I decided to take my Drone to the beach to get some more REAL flight time, and reflect upon on my recent training in the Drone Racing League simulator. Still working on dialing in rates/settings to get the flight characteristics I’m expecting.
Notes: I was experimenting with different Rates (which are on a toggle switch), which was way too high (twitchy), and lucky I did not crash on takeoff. Flipped the switch back to the “stockish” settings and continued flying the rest of the pack.
I manage to get about 2.5 to 3.5 minutes out of a 1500mah pack. After resting they return to 11.4V, and my charge says I am using under 1000mah. I’ve also noticed the resistance on these batteries appears to be going down with each cycle. So these particular could see benefit to cycling them a few times before use.
Happy Flying!
