The EMax Hawk 5 is an outstanding quadcopter. The only problem I had with it right out of the box was the lack of camera angle. It shipped with about 40 degrees but felt like it needed more. It just wouldn’t move. In this video I show you how extremely easy it is to increase the camera tilt so you can get up to 90 degrees if you are out of your mind, or more like 60 degree for full view at extreme speeds. Then I show you what I’m going to have to do next after this test flight

hey Mark …seriously cleaning the kwad ? do you use soapy water ? hot ? do you spray motors with silicon or other lube ? what about aerosol cans of electrical cleaner ?? just finished first pass cleaning all my stuff from the Hurricane IRMA event and only one totally destroyed (TBS Vendetta) ,,,still 50% of the rusted screws will not come out and since my Taranis was ruined I need to access every rx to re-bind ..camera angle = go fast ??
Those two narrow top pieces actually do have a significance! They help give the quad much more strength. In watching Bob’s channel, KABAB FPV, I found out many of the little seemingly useless frame parts help strengthen the overall quad frame. The top plate is often important because in a hard crash it absorbs a lot of the impact from the arms. As the shock from the impact radiates through the arms and into the joint where they come together it sometimes ends up in the top! And the top plate, often being less thick to cut weight, will snap! So, they put side reinforcement pieces that barely add any extra weight, like a double the thickness top would, but significantly add to the strength! Hence, stopping the top plate, which has absorbed the end of the impact, from breaking! One learns a ton about design from go0d 0ld Bob! His channel is very unique in that he covers the theory about why things are done this way or that… Plus, a lot about technology and why these motors on this frame are better than the other ones. Co0ol stuff! Very highly recommended!

Droneracer101 haven’t you thought about cutting the back edge of the plug going in to your camera and put a little hot glue over the wires going in to your plug it will give you more clearance and protect your wires on the camera 😉

Looks like you are not used to such an aggressive camera angle. Less yaw, more roll in the turn and keep the throttle up. Strange things happen to the handling at high angles and it takes some time for the brain to re-learn.
Have a quick look at.
I think I mentioned on your first review that the promo photos had a much greater camera angle, so it had to be possible.

I just wish to see some more maneuverable flights of this drone. From first video I remember 😉 (I watched it seconds ago again 🙂 ) that have really nice tight turns. I even saw at some reviewers that this quad is like to fly it on simulator. I fly a lot on Liftoff and by feeling from 1st video I could say that some maneuvers looks the same. 🙂 (Y)
