I went out with one goal, STAY OUT OF THE WATER.
Most of this footage was before I switched to digital so I definitely kept my distance. Filming probably the two most famous surfing spots in santa cruz. Steamers lane and pleasure point.

      Dude, this is awesome. Just stumbled on this. I do something similar in PV / Southbay Area. I want to get closer footage of the surfers, I mean like close like chase footage, but not sure if they would get irritated by it. But at the same time I think they’d love to have some footage of themselves haha. I’ve been meaning to go down and talk to a few surfers. Maybe I’ll come out that way one day…
