I hope someone can help me here, because i’m currently losing hairs with my new quad.
I’ve recently buyed an Grenn Hornet 6S (Option : no receiver) and i’m trying to bind an R601X rx (no bind button) to my Spektrum DX6.
It doesn’t work…
In betaflight, the USB VCP is enabled and set to 115200
UART2 : Serial Rx Enabled.
Receiver mode set to Serial based receiver (SPEKSAT, SBUS, SUMD)
Serial receiver provider is set to SPEKTRUM 2048.
For the binding In the CLI, I’ve set spektrum_sat_bind = 9, and spektrum_sat_bind = 7
But my Rx never goes to binding mode when I power on the quad (with battery)
I think I’ve missed something… I’m not an expert in Betafight… Not yet!
So, if you have any solution, tips or advice, I will be glad 🙂.

I flew the iflight bnf and its fantastic. As for the apex i have the frame and i love it but $900 is not even close to being worth it. You can get googles tx and a drone for $900 and xing motors are way better than the stout v3 imo.

I’ve had my lightweight mr steele drone and you’re all ignorant saying it’s not worth it Its the smoothest flying quad i’d ever had and i don’t even care about that part what the difference is DURABILITY! I’ve dropped steels from out of the sky to concrete and ALWAYS stays together. Numerous hits to tree’s and my cars. Use all the guards!

is the cidora capeable of freestyle (Wall taps) tricks?
sma adds a lot of weight. I’m surprised Steele being the gram pincher he is doesn’t use the apex tpu sma mount with a rush style antenna. It easily saved me 10 grams over a similar sma pigtail setup and the rush tank 20×20 mounts so nicely in the back of the apex. In the off chance you’d need to remove the stack screws all your arms aren’t going to fall off because the arms have a threaded insert at the end that doesn’t go all the way through. This is actually nice if you need to change your whole stack to something else and need to use taller or shorter screws because the arms don’t flop all over the place. I’ve had to do this on one of my apex builds. So subtract 4 screws from that total to remove the bottom plate.😉 The fact the kiss esc burst into flames is freaking awesome! All you kiss zealots can suck it! Sorry, but i’ve flown kiss and it ain’t no thing ya’ll. Use any blheli32 4n1 out there with a 1000uf 35v panasonic fm series capacitor and you will be a lot less likely to burn your esc. There is no good reason not to use a capacitor, no, because Mr. Steele says he doesn’t need one is not a good reason.🤣 I think i’ll start selling a Mooosestang spec apex at half that price.😜 The frame itself is outstanding.
Can you even build the cidora for $200
900 dollars is ridiculous. Steele needs to get over himself…he’s a good pilot but not worth a 900 dollar quad. He’s ego is out of control
So weight affects flight time. . . but what if WHAT IF. . . i put two smallish tube like helium balloons on the sides? Will this reduce weight? Will the drone go up to the stratosphere!?

First of all you can build the apex for $599. Secondly, there are much greater costs in this hobby like transmitters, goggles, GoPro, crossfire, and batteries. If you’re getting into this hobby be ready to spend some money. Compared to nice 3D planes which cost upwards of $2000 I think quads are not that bad. This is a relatively cheap hobby. I started on a cheap quad and had multiple problems related to quality of parts and durability. Now I upgraded to the apex mr steel kit.

hey, the file they added to their package, could it be that this is for filing out the esc? I could imagine that filing out the esc holes would void the warranty, so they choose to add a file for you to do it yourself? it looks a bit oversized for m3 holes though…
Hi Joshua i had preordered the apex Mr. Steele edition and all the same components of the Mr steele build and built it exakt the way Steele Show it in his build Video.
What should i say since i have this quad i dont need to watch all your videos about betaflight because since i have it,
i never touchd any of my others because it flys just it should.
Have no defect part on it since lets say October 6 packs a week. Pricepoint for All parts was 600€
I dont think i buy anything other till steele make a New build.

I been flying Betaflight for almost three years. And I hate the tunning trivia that goes into tunning different sizes of quads on Betaflight firmware. Dont get me wrong! Much respect for the Betaflight dev’s and all the work they have done putting in new options so you can fine tune your quad even more than before..But on the same hand it has made tunning more difficult..At least for me it has..With that being said..I love building though..So recently i bought the new fettec 20×20 stack and activated the Kiss firmware on the FC & 2400 Shot on the Fettec esc. I haven’t figured out the osd firmware yet for the DJI air unit. But I have flown the quad on stock pids. And I can say after flying Betaflight for nearly three years. The feel of Kiss firmware is something special. I cant wait to get the osd issue solved for the DJI because I’ll be flying Kiss a lot😀

Anybody else notice the kiss ESC rated to 40A 2-5s, yet its stated to be a 6s rig. No wonder the ESC popped!
Question: Broken ground pad on my FC, totally gone. Any suggestions on where I can ground it to? It’s an HGLRC F7 stack. Thanks.
It would be interesting to swap cameras between the drone to see how big a difference the latency of the camera makes.

It was easy to hear the difference, you could hear the oscillations on the Betaflight quad. You should do a follow-up after you have tuned it.
