Review: Adafruit LEDS for Micro FPV Racing Drones (01.11.2017)
Adafruit LED Sequin For FPV Micro Racing Drones. These are good for using Line of Sight Flying for your FPV Micro Racing drone, they only show a single color and they don’t have digital control, but that makes them smaller easier to use for many projects. these also will help with flying at night and for finding your FPV Micro Racing Drone in the event of an unscheduled landing or crash.
Simply connect 3 to 6VDC to the + pin and ground to the – pin, and the LED on the board will light up. You can make the LEDs fade and twinkle by using the PWM (a.k.a. analogWrite) functionality of your Gemma or Flora, or just connect directly to a digital I/O pin of a microcontroller to turn on and off. Or even skip the micro altogether, and power directly from a LiPoly or coin battery.

This order comes with 5 Warm White “1206 size” LEDs, matched with a 100 ohm resistor. When powered from 3.3V they draw about 5mA so you can put up to 4 or 5 in parallel on a single microcontroller pin. We also have these sequins in ruby red, emerald green, royal blue, and rose pink.

Is it just me or should you go work for those crazy Chinees company’s that
put the lights on wrong. Put the greens in front and the reds on the back,
or is that just me haha

keep up a very good job!!! ;)
Thanks for the tip. I’ll make a headlight for my Xk X251. By the way does
it heat up. If not wrap it up with clear shrink tubing. Glows more. Did
that on my JJRC1000 on a Nano QX type Frame..
how does it help when you got the same colors on both ends?
excellent video brother I’m looking to get into this kind of stuff I just
purchased a learner nano racer. the KingKong Smart 100 I would like to know
perhaps a cheap transmitter that it would work with if you can give me any
information that would be awesome
glad you got those in, I need a set now
Pretty cool Thor ?
man thats gonna be so much better los
thanks for another useful tip.cant wait to see them shining in a lot less
light.
Something I’m known for is placing LED’s on my quads and motorcycles.;) I
generally place my LEDS towards the feet of my quads to get separation for
easier viewing orientation.
ooo pretty. but Functional
Aha, British stuff, like most the chips in your mobile phones,
mwhahhahhahhahhahahahaha.
We still rock a bit. 😉
Please don’t jump on this comment, it’s called sarcasm, google it.
Great idea with those leds! How much battery/ flight time does it consume
to power those? Question of topic, do you charge your 1S batteries with a
balance charger like a imax B6 or won’t you even need such a charger (is a
standart usb charger good enough since it is a 1 cell?).
Hey Brother FRSKY finaly came out with HALL GIMBALS FOR TARANIS PLUS TX
40usd a set do yourself a favor and get them and install the new hall
gimbals ASAP so that youll never have to deal with gimbal failure! there
awsome gimbals and so cheap 40usd for both it is a must have for frsky
Taranis tx!!!
so I’m going to ask you for a favor bro. there are like absolutely no
videos on how to set up and get started with a micro. I was wondering if
you could make a video basically for newbies showing them the steps needed
to purchase and set up a Micro fpv Drone? it would be greatly appreciated
because I’m confused as all heck I normally only fly aerial birds and I’m
trying to get into the racing but it just seems very confusing. thanks a
lot bro hoping to meet up with you soon at one of their meets but I would
like to have some flying under my belt first and I have no understanding of
how this all works. :)
