We’re Back FPV Racing Drones in the Mountains | 026

3 years ago, I came up with the idea for “Destruction by Gravity” after watching this video.

I posted on /r/askreddit, “What would be the most satisfying object to drop from the height of a tall building?”

Well… Reddit delivered a list that was too epic not to do. Since then, I’ve been trying to find a location. I want to drop onto rock to get the best impacts. And here is some of the conditions I’m going to put on the channel.

1) We never drop animal products. If something died to be food, we believe it should be treated with respect, so, you won’t ever see us drop a pig caracas. Now, 1 exception would be, if something happened, and the animal products were going to go to waste i.e. truck full of steaks overturns on a highway, and all the meat is going to the garbage dump, then we would consider using animal products. In a case like that, all proceeds from adsense would go to local food banks.

2) We don’t drop things of value. We want to be creative in our objects, so we aren’t going to drop a brand new cell phone or computer. We want to find things of little to no value and make them creative.

3) We will clean up everything we drop, and recycle to the best of our ability. In fact, we hope to partner with a major junk removal company that can both provide us interesting items they find on their routes, and ensure every drop is properly cleaned.

4) Be socially responsible. We also don’t want to waste food, so wherever possible, we will use food items past their expiry date. i.e. We plan to drop celebrity blowup dolls filled with vegetable soup (Kinky Kim, Katy Pervy, Finally Miley, Just in Beaver, Ryans Secrets and my favourite, The Lindsey Blowhan) . So, we will approach all the local food banks and collect all their soup products that are past the expiry dates and replace those with fresh soup. And again, when we drop any food time, all adsense revenue will be donated to local food banks.

5) be open to change. If we are doing something that isn’t right, don’t yell at us. Just let us know. We’re pretty reasonable guys and are open to changing what we do.

drop ideas:
– A gaint water balloon like the SloMo Guys but from a helicopter
– A toothpick sculpture (or anything that is put together really intricately, would look cool hitting the ground)
– A pane of glass oriented vertically (vertical orientation = like glass is in regular house windows)
– Anything that explodes

That shot from the FPV at 6:13 following the waterfall down the mountain is one of the coolest shots I’ve seen to date!
