Unlike a speed-gun test this demonstrates a better idea of their flight speeds… What’s the point of going faster if you cannot sustain that speed for any length of time?
Now that I’ve logged track times I can easily compare the speeds of these quads to other machines I own that I fly in other videos. 1000mm Racing Quad Seed Test?!

Fun! If it’s worth it, try a V2 video by adding some weight to the quads to see how much faster you can get them to go without adding pitch. You might be able to go faster with less pitch and less fighting the wind with deep angle. All quad theory though! Some math has got to exist somewhere. If not, don’t worry about it. It looks like you are having fun.

I am really wanting to get into FPV flying, I have a cheapo line of sight drone now. The downfall is I do not know how to solder whatsoever and I cannot afford thousands of dollars to spend on a quad that I might suck with at first. Do you think the dys xdr220 rtf quad is a pretty decent starter?? It is like $500 for the kit and kaboodle. I like your videos! I’ve watched a lot of them, as well as on rotor riot.

I’ve been flying Blade products since I started flying in Oct’12. mainly cause there American made and located 2hrs away in Champaign,IL. I’m from St. Louis and always try to support my local hobby store witch carries all Blade products and will order any Horizon products. Anyways it feels like they’ve finally caught up to speed on the racing drones. nice to see the pros ripping RTF’s instead of home built models.
What is the best way to get familiar with acro flying, right now I’m just flying stability mode slow speed which with the srd280 it’s still super fast
