This is the Bugs 2 “W” FPV version, and flies insanely fast for a GPS bird. It uses 5G WiFi for FPV video reception on your phone. Get the Bugs 2W FPV here https://goo.gl/FGNE5W and the cheaper non FPV (has 1080p camera) Bugs 2C here https://goo.gl/5vE1oq
Pros
– 1080p camera actually takes nice sharp video. Video quality is better than the Hubsan H501S & C, but about on par with the H501A.
– Uses USA GPS and Russian GLONASS satellites for very fast and accurate GPS lockon.
– Very fast GPS quadcopter. Many GPS quadcopters can’t fly this fast, simply because their GPS system can’t keep up. With GPS/GLONASS, this one can.
– Also has altitude hold, and headless mode.
– 5G WiFi FPV does not interfere with 2.4G controller. Thus this has greater WiFi FPV range (a little over 100 meters) than most other WiFi FPV fliers.
– Also, line of site control range with the controller is advertised out to 1000 meter. Now most people can’t see this at 1000 meters. But if you do fly out of range, its GPS bring it home to a landing. Or if you lose sight of it, or just lazy, press the return to home button for automatic return to home and landing.
– Will also return to home on low battery. First it gives a beeping warning. But if you ignore the warning, it will automatically return and land at 2 bars warning if you are greater than 100m, return and land at 1 bar if greater than 15 m, or automatically land at 1 bar if less than 15m.
– Although the battery seems to be proprietary, the Bugs 3 battery is the same without the back connection panel. If you use a Bugs 3 battery, you’ll need to devise a method so the Bugs battery it won’t slide out the back (tape? velcro?).
Cons
– Not everyone has 5G WiFi on their phones or tablets. It’s only available on newer devices, and even then, not all have it. Check your intended control device to confirm it has 5G WiFi before purchasing.
– Would have liked to seen a WiFi repeater system included (like the H501A) so that FPV range could be much greater than 100 meters.
– The body plastic feels like it might be more brittle than the H501 series, or the Bugs 3. Stay away from obstacles during high speed flying.

Hey
2nd!! 😛
hey drone friends!
3rd
What about the Samsung s5
It’s a crazy drone!
Awesomeness. Very top of my buy list. Short range wifi fpv Will upgrade Fpv 5.8 G as well for goggle flight.???? Thanks Again….. QC 101
Great camera quad. Liked your vacation videos last year. Will you be taking the Bugs 2 anywhere?
What’s the video latency like? I imagine you have to be careful approaching trees when not on LOS.
I’d have a bug bear with the app logo if I had one, the red bug on blue background is hideous lol.
I bet loads of viewers want Mr Quadcopter 101 to give them this neat quad. ????????
Hi, what do you think it is gonna cost?
It is good for wifi but not good enough. What a pity they didn’t go with 5.8 with a proper built in /attachable monitor. Could have been a winner. Not bad as it is though
Impressive! Thx! 🙂
Yep, double check your carrier to see if they have rolled-out 4G and/or Gigabit LTE in your coverage area. 4G and/or Gigabit LTE have been promised by most carriers (2017-2018+) and is currently available to limited areas.
Your shirt? Reminds me of the tie-dyed, wild-child shirts from the 70’s that were so very popular. Kinda cool. 🙂
hi guys how i can fix the motor of syma x5sw pls teach me
Man your awesome QC101 very good info and I just got the S8+, or if ne 1 doesn’t know what that is, Samsung 8+ phone it’s so awesome! and yes this is the new feature blue tooth and Wi-Fi 5.0 and higher very smooth so much better then my old phone. greater distance and if he 1 else lives in Socal please pray for relief from this heat wave!!!that seems to b only over us! 114 in the IE we broke records again stop the heat!!!
I like this one for the price. It’s GPS is decent. It’s wi-fi reception I would rate as very poor. I put a TX03 @ 200mW on an X8, carrying a YI cam, and had perfect glitch free, frame freeze free video out to 300 meters. While the video isn’t bad, you’ll get frame drops if you try to record 1080P video to anything less than a Class 10 card. The video is unstabilized but at least there isn’t a lot of distinguishable jello (but a lot of ground shots). For the price, and for someone who may have been in the H501C market, this is a better deal, but its still pretty much a “Ford” and not a “Cadillac” as a camera bird. Lots of reviews out there on this one, so potential buyers should watch as many as they can before making a final decision .. but as a beginner’s GPS quad, its a pretty good bargain. BTW, I think MJX has a newer “X21” model coming out in the near future which seems like it will solve some of the issues that the Bugs 2 has. Just something for viewers to consider, though not sure if/when the X21 will be available. Thanks for the review. Cheers.
Nice drone…Nice shirt…
It looks like the MJX has another winner with the BUGS 2, it will be interesting to see what the final price will be for this quad, compared to the H501s.
is this bugs faster then my x6 tarantula
views less than 1k. haha. i like how you review quads.. very very different from the rest.. you actually play the quad until dead batt..
Just curious, what are those white “railroad tracks” going around the park?
Gearbest has it for $234.00
*Dance the Skies*
Since you are a expert ,I have a guestion,I am looking for a brushless motor ,GPS ,quad copter for under a 150.00 is their such a thing,I have a hubsan 502 E with GPS but has brushed.motors ,I could care less if it has a camera ,I just trying. To learn to fly .GPS is always a help brush less motors to cut down on repairs.anyone
I want one. Where can I get it.
Hi Quadcopter101, what good, relatively cheap FPV goggles do you recommend?
this wifi range is unacceptable. If you mod it it can be nice but than you would spend more.. rather than modding better to spend another 150-250 usd and buy used phantom 3 or even phantom standard around 400 usd or buy a spark.. I like some of these cheap quads when they are less than 150 -100 usd range.. if they cost more than 200 usd than betternto invest a little more and buy DJI phantoms..
OK What did this company do steal hubsan and syma’s design”s! Really?! Looks like the hubsan 501s arms on a syma body LOL!!
it seems alot like the hubsan I will probably be getting the bugs 6 or 8
I like the MJX’s, they always seem like a good deal. Awesome shirt mate! hi from NZ
Thanks for taking the time to develop and post such an informational review! I plan to build a GPS quad after my current endeavor… This video helped endorse my decision! :))
yes I DO agree ALL your reviews are neat ???? ???????? ???? !
Nice review! It looks like they need to do some serious work on the WIFI video reception. It also looked like a lot of lag in the video signal. Happy Flying!
It would have been the perfect beginner fpv quad
but they ruined it with the wifi, now days 120m
for an fpv quad is not far enough, if the fpv was
5.8g RF this would have been a market leader,
in its price range.
Almost looks like a hubsan h501s
rip that wifi camera out and throw in a 5.8ghz and good to go
I am still a little amazed that no reviewer actually says that its very much like a Hubsan H501-series quad. 🙂 They amost equally in size, and in a sense almost the same design. I do think this one looks a lil meaner though. 🙂 It flies nice but I still think the H501-series from hubsan has a better camera…. you can clearly see jello in this camera.
is that one brushless?
do the price is around 175 180
also nice video brother
You got real close to those power lines.
Quadcopter 101 will the fpv work with my Google pixel?
Quadcopter 101 Nice review! I’ve ordered one myself, though it’s the none wifi version, the b2c.
Quick question though, will the motors, esc and props on the bugs 3 work on the b2c? Thanks
I just got my Bugs 2C. I can’t get it to calibrate compass. It wouldn’t do it in my living room, so I took it out to the garden, but It wouldn’t do it there either. I did it just as everyone else. Do I need to go to a really wide open space? Can somebody please try calibration in their living room and let me know? Thanks you, guys
Get the *Bugs 2W FPV here* and the cheaper non FPV (has 1080p camera) *Bugs 2C here*
Will this work with an iPhone 7???
Just got this quad today and it cant find any satelites… Anyone else got the problem? Im from Holland btw
Wow, I think I found this bugs2 with fpv for 100.00 with a coupon .Thats not bad.
So I have been flying my furybee around the house right now due to 15 degree temps outside and snow.I have a 18.00 cyclone ordered and am wondering should I get the Hubsan 502s or E or the Bugs 2 non fpv for maybe a low cost of 136.00 from Banggood.I know I cant fly outside for 3 months but Im not sure if the price will go down any lower than it is now due to after christmas sales.Whats your advice Oh mighty Quad God?.
Sounds cool ,like swarm of bees!!.
So there is a coupon code for 30% off .Can I get the bugs 2 non fpv version for 136.00 from Banggod ?.I think this is better quality than the Hubsan 501 because I hear that it has been a 50/50 shot of getting a good 501 or bad one.I know you have the 502e and you seem to have a very good quad with no issues but it is brushed and maybe they are better than the 501.
Not very good on distance on fpv
Sir On the bugs 2w is wifi fpv is really good or not or what is the maximum range of fpv and will fpv lags under 300m or worked great plz help .I am really confused which one to purchase b2w or b2c is it worth spending 30$ more on b2w .
Try it with goggles to see if fpv range is better please.
Not sure why it would be but i have seen many reviews of this with much better fpv range.
Is there a difference between Bugs 2w and Force1 F200w?? They look alike and seem to have same features. Either one better than the other?
Would there be a WiFi repeater able to be hooked up to the internally? Any ideas appreciated! Thanks for the thoroughly fantastic reviews. Not sure about those multicolored t’s however…it’s time for your own 101 t-shirt design i think.
Thanks for your great review. you mentioned that we need to have a 5g phone, is there any phone / tablet with 5g ?? I have iphone and iPad, not sure neither one has 5g…
How do you transfer the videos from the go bugs app to computer?
Great info but edit edit edit when needed. Beeps normally mean you are running low on battery.
Hello buddy ..whats your opinion on which is better, h501ss or the bugs ? Happy holidays n thank you in advance
*Bugs B2W for $160! US customers only.* Deal expires Nov 20 Select US Warehouse here *REMEMBER* the B2W only works with 5G (802.11ac) WiFi capable devices. *MAKE SURE* that your phone or tablet is 5G capable before ordering. And here is the B2W in action
Think it will outrun a Mavic Pro?
I have a Samsung S7 edge. Will the FPV app work with my phone?
Actually forget my last message I found the adapter I need to go from small 2 prong JST plug to large JST Balance plug.
The problem I have now is that the only cables I can find that go from the transmitter to the Action Cam (and from the transmitter to the JST battery balance plug) are for USB MINI action cams and I need USB MICRO to fit my SJ Cam 5000. If anyone can help as I cannot find the USB Micro cables. Thanks again.
Hi, I have all the parts and cables I need to mod my Bugs 2 to radio frequency FPV from my SJCam. However, the one cable I cannot find is the one that goes from (USB mini) my SJCam to the battery intput balance plug and to the transmitter output plug. I have been able to find some cables that go to the transmitter but the plug on the cable that goes to the balance plug is for a much smaller battery and therefore, It will not connect. My question is it possible to purchase the correct cable(s) premade or will I have to mod a cable to fit the the battery balance plug? Basically I need the cable(s) that run from the SJCam to the transmitter and the cable that also runs from the transmitter to the battery balance plug. If there are existing cable(s), would someone be so kind as to direct me where to purchase them and/or what the name of them is? Thank you very much for reading and if possible for responding. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the Video! Best informative and explanatory video I’ve seen on this model.
my wifi b2w is not detected on my smartphone, but yesterday was fine. I have reset using the camera key for 8 seconds. but still undetected, what is the solution?
Awasome details review.
What height does it return to home
Great vid mate, very informative ! Nice shirt too 😉
One last question, I bought the MJX G3 Monitor with integrated receiver. Do you know if I will be able to transmit the signal from the SJCam and record at the same time?
Not a fan of the fisheye lens
How do you record video from the camera? Is it done to the phone from the FPV signal or is their an on board SD/TF card?
Hi, I just wanted to get your expertise to confirm that I can power the TS5828 FPV 5.8Ghz 600mW transmitter directly from the Bugs 2 – 7.4v battery? Or do I need a converter? I want to connect the transmitter from the bugs 2 battery to my SJCam. Thanks again for you help! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for the very detailed and informative video. Do you know how the Bugs2w sets the home point for RTH? I mean once you calibrate it and take off and then land it at another place, will you need to turn it off altogether and go through the process of recalibration to set the new home point before taking off from this new place? Or is it that the home point is reset automatically from the point you takeoff again without a need for turning it off?
Hello 101, could you tell me if there was a first generation bugs 2? The reason I’m asking is I purchased a battery that didn’t fit. When ask seller what’s the deal he stated its for first generation bugs 2 that doesn’t have the locking nob on bottom. This one have a clip on top and bottom.
Should i get this one or MJX bugs3 that can carry my 1080p action camera? :// i can’t get live footage to my phone if i have the camera carrying one right?
Would you recommend this or the h501s?
I like your shirt lol
Just ordered
Is it possible to use Samsung Galaxy A 3 with it.
Is the LED display on the Transmitter in foot or metres? If so can you change between them?
hi wanna ask what the different with bugs 2c?any big gap between them?thanks
cany you use the bugs 2 controller on your bugs 3 and 6/8?
Does any bugs 2 owners know if the stock battery 7.4volt 1800mah battery is able to be replaced using a modified bugs 3 2300mah battery 7.4volt
Hi sir, what phone model did you use to connect in the bugs 2w because mine can’t connect to my phone. My phone model is asus zenfone 3 max
HI!, question… can this quad get rewired to use standard Lipos of 2 or 3 cells?… I don’t like proprietary Lipos as they are not available in Chile and very difficult to obtain as not many people ship lipos to Chile. Thanks.
Which is better. H501S Standard or This?
hello, I am thinking of buying mjx bugs 2w, just wondering how do you do firmware updates on it or do you don’t have too?
And how do you download the video to your Mac?
hello, you will know what is the problem of the bug cam, there are some stripes on the recording?? equal to the ones in this video thank you I hope and help me
Is it smoother than the bugs 3?
B2W or B2C ? Would be glad if u help me sir
What is the lifetime
I’m surprised at the number of experienced reviewers who don’t seem to read the manual before starting a review. Especially in this case since the manual for the Bugs 2C/W is about the best of the “Chinglish” destruction manuals. One of the few features not mentioned is the fact that the headless orientation is set at motor arming (with headless switch off or on) and can be switched in or out at will. To change set heading you have to land, disarm, re-orientate and rearm. Can be useful if your quad is way out there and pointing who knows where!
I’ve posted this on a couple of the more popular review channels as none of them seem to have stumbled on the feature yet.
What this phone?
Expensive drone.
Can I get this one.
Compass calibration doesn’t matter if the camera is pointed up or down.
A word of caution for those endurance fanatics who will no doubt continue flying this fun little quad (within the 100m high/300m distance envelope) after the 2-bar battery warning starts. Make absolutely sure that there are no trees, buildings, kids’ swimming pools, fish ponds etc within that 15m radius of your take-off point! If you are between the 2 envelope limits when the battery drops to 1 bar the quad will fail-safe RTH to your take-off point without too much trouble. BUT.. if you are passing through the inner envelope when the change occurs you can bet your bottom dollar that it will drop directly and uncontrolably right where you don’t want it to! And no, I haven’t…. YET! 😉
nice video… thanks for sharing… the instructions say to set the RTH… but don’t say how. I assumed it would automatically set the home location at first GPS reception after connecting the drone battery (each time)… but when I pressed the RTH button (at about 20m out) the drone went straight up about 20 meters… I switched GPS off to regain control… was it flying to guandong province in china?
How do you set the home location?
Hey quadcopter, would you say the force 1 F200C is a better drone than this one in this vid?
Hi. how about flight time sir?
Hi Q101
I only have a 2.4G phone so I have a few questions about the MJX Bugs B2W.
Is it possible to fly this drone, .. and control the photo/ video to the built in SD card, with just the controller and not connecting to the 5.8G FPV at all? I’m looking for an inexpensive Headless/ GPS/1080p/ Brushless drone/ quadcopter, and have also looked at the Hubsan H216A (but I believe this MUST use the app to fly the quadcopter at all 🙁 ) … and also the Hubsan H501S, which is out of my price range at the moment. Many thanks for your help 🙂
Thanks for the videos. Great help. I do have a question. I recorded to my phone and can’t find the video to play back. I don’t have a sd card on my phone and it says it saves to my app. In my app I select the folder on top and and it says “connect not ready” an a wheel spins forever. Any ideas as to what I should be looking for. I looked in my gallery and not there either. I am using an android phone.
Did you use your video editor to get 2 videos into one screen (the head camera and the drone camera)??
Would you know why is that bugs b2w back CCW motor is wobbling. I have never crash it. I check the screw mount on the motor and they are all tight. I need your help. Thank you so much.

(EDIT – the above has been found to be not completely correct! During battery fail-safe RTH you have no control during return AND while it is hovering & deciding when to land. You cannot cancel the auto landing BUT – during descent you get stick control back & can guide your Bugs to a safe landing. So just fly above all impediments you may encounter during a battery RTH and all will be sweet!)
buddy..you just did me a huge favor about the transmitter..thought mine was a lemon
After looking at description of the quadcopter I didn’t see any mention of a memory card for the camera. Does this record to a memory card as well or just a smart/cellphone. I have found that when downloading videos from cellphones/smart phones to the computer a lot of video quality is lost, so there goes your video and it becomes just another junky looking video.
Other than that I like everything this drone had to offer and will get one if it had onboard video recording on a memory card.
Hi mr QuadCopter 101 very nice review , this is MikeDroneUfo (newyoutubechannel) my question is: Is this Quadcopter bugs 2w have to be register on FAA ? thanks
Where do we buy extra batteries for MJX Bugs 2 B2W?
Had my Bugs 2w just over a week and i love it. This is my first quadcopter and highly recommend it.
Nice method of review for range of reception
Not sure yet. The one repeater that I tried didn’t work very well with it
Quadcopter 101 ty you sir
Hello 101 what is the best repeater for the bugs 2 thank you
If you want to increase the reception, do you think the amplifier is attached to the controller?
Hello buddy ..whats your opinion on which is better, h501ss or the bugs ? Happy holidays n thank you in advance
when the battery hits 2 bars the heli beeps and lights go red. should I land asap?
when the battery hits 2 bars the heli beeps and lights go red. should I land asap?
You could fly longer. But MJX is recommending that you land soon after you receive the warning. Flying a LiPo battery too long for too low a voltage can damage it. Hence MJX set its warning at a conservative value of voltage to lessen the chance of new fliers damaging the battery.
thankx! it’s a new battery so I will break it in like they recommend for lipo. I’m getting about 6 minute flight time now
How fast is it?
I think that you may be confusing the Bugs 2W with my review of the similar looking Hubsan H501S. Unfortunately, the Bugs 2W does not have circle me or follow me capability. However, the similar looking Hubsan H501S does have these capabilities.
Hi qc101. Great review on this drone. I bought one from watching your channel. What i would like help on is how to get the follow me mode and circle me mode working. I think it needs the phone linked to do this but as yet I have not seen or read any tutorials of how to do this. Please can you make a video showing how to execute these operations.
Thanks.
Quadcopter 101 thanks for the reply. Im pretty sure it does have a follow me function. Not built into the controller however. This is one of the reasons i bought it. It uses the gps on the phone to activate it…. Ill see if i can find where it says so and post it here.
Well that’s a new feature for it to me. Please let me know what you find.
For some reason i cant add a screenshot here,
but on the BANGGOODs website for the bugs 2 it states in RED letters of the items description further down the page that it has a “PERFECT ADVANCED FOLLOWER” mode… I had assumed that this is the follow me function.
(With GPS auto positioning system, accurate positioning location, perfect advanced follower.)
link here to page:
thanks
Sorry, but I don’t know what they meant by “advanced follower”. But again, this drone does not have follow me capability. Recommend checking out other more recent reviews on this drone to see if I may wrong.
can you tell me if bugs 2 has different flight modes. I read the bugs 3 had 2 modes and a headlight. thanks
can you tell me if bugs 2 has different flight modes. I read the bugs 3 had 2 modes and a headlight. thanks
Quadcopter 101 thank you for the quick reply,
the bugs 2w was on gps from the beginning, but seemed to drift quite a lot above 30m, so had to apply opposite stick to maintain position. I almost lost it over the tree line – luckily i pressed rth in time. Am i missing something or was the wind just too strong for the gps? It could easily fly into the wind manually. Oh and i had approx 9 sats locked
Andrew Jackson you can calibrate inside… Just connect handset then spin anti clockwise whilst level 3x then hold nose upright vertically and again spin it 3x anticlockwise the lights will go solid and good to go
9 satellites is the bare minimum for a satellite lock to maintain position. Chances are you lost one of them in flight, which caused the drifting. I always let a GPS drone sit on the ground to get at least 11 satellites before takeoff to prevent loss of GPS lock.
Ah ok, great, so it should hold in windy conditions if i leave it hovering in gps mode with 11 sats. ill go out and try that later. thanks qc101
No. I meant don’t even take off from the ground until you have at least 11 satellites locked on. If you takeoff with only 9, you might lose one in flight. If it momentarily drops below 9 satellites, the drone will automatically switch from GPS to altitude hold mode, where it will drift with the wind.
Today was my first day flying my Bugs 2w… one thing I noticed was it drifted a lot in the wind.. how can I stop this, I thought they had position hold.. or am I also mistaken about that function .. regards.
Quadcopter 101 ahhhh i get you now, thats great news and advice thank you kindly.
A new Bugs Go app update just happened. In it is a new bugs 2 se with follow me and circle me function. The new Bugs Go app now houses multiple quadcopter versions. I wonder if a firmware update via the bugs2w sd card slot could achieve the follow me function with the phone on 2.4ghz…. Cant see why not. The se app looks far more in depth with more telemetry available.
No I have not. But it would be best to ask your question in the following forum. There are many owners of the Bugs @ there, and they would be better able to answer your question
That’s a really nice drone
I know this sounds crazy have u heard anything about dropouts in the bugs 2w it has done it twice both times luckily falling close and low and never lost power battery still locked in really worried
As always great job I just bought the same exact wrong if you happen to get a chance please check out my channel I’m a huge fan of yours
As always great job I just bought the same exact wrong if you happen to get a chance please check out my channel I’m a huge fan of yours
Hey man great job on the video I just bought this bird as soon as I passed my F107 test I have been a loyal subscriber of yours for quite some time now and would really appreciate if you could check my channel out subscribe and tell me what you think of my latest bugs video again I appreciate all your hard work

Question i buy the bugs x 2 i charge many time but on the controll show me is not charge i buy another battery and all way on controll sad no charge do you know y?
Great review. I’m planning to get one. Can you tell me Sir if B2W camera is better then tello drone?
It’s higher 1080p resolution, but not stabilized.
I was just given one of these it only has 10 flights on it. And although it is not one of my dji drones it is a cool little drone to toss up any where and grab some fun with! And at the price range you really can’t complain about this and that being wrong with it! Remember 9 times out of ten you get what you pay for!
i have a problem with my mjx bugs2w … headless mode sometime works and sometime not… ??? help..
Actually that might work.
This was a wonderful review of this drone.. answered every question I could’ve had with this before I purchased 1… again great review
On my bugs b2w app it keeps telling me something about going to permissions needs robots, when I go into permissions everything is checked, anyone know what to do? Thanks
So, would this be a good quad for someone who works in solar and just needs to be able to get some nice roof pictures on an IOS device? I’d be very close to my subject matter. And, can I Wi-Fi it to an iPad or just iPhone? Thanks and great video!
If you want to increase the reception, do you think the amplifier is attached to the controller?
Hi,
Thanks for the video, very informative.
This is my first drone and I am enjoying it a lot.
I was wondering if there was a way to put it in acro mode? I am afraid the altitude hold will teach be bad habits for when I want to fly acro FPV
Quadcopter 101 I have decided to order the bugs 2w. Thanks to your reviews, i know wich one is the best gps, fpv quad under 200dollars. You are my favourite RC reviewer. 🙂
Oh no…I am expecting my 2C today…i didn’t realize you have to turn the thing and do the hokiepokie and turn yourself around everytime you turn it on…that sucks. I think I may have not gotten that one then…
Did you use your video editor to get 2 videos into one screen (the head camera and the drone camera)??
Is it smoother than the bugs 3?
how much this drone prize $
plz, how much this drone ? ₹
I think that the default return to home altitude is 30 meters. But the idea of the climb is to avoid hitting any trees, homes, or telephone poles/wires on the return flight.
can anyone tell me how high the heli goes when you press return tobhome. I’m at park and suddenly it shoots 2x higher than trees. I think I went to hit camera but hit home instead.
Compared to the mjx b5w, which is better ??
Is my s6 edge good for this drone???
Hey great videos i watch all of them!!
Can’t you return Amazon items? Pretty sure that you can.
But the Bugs 2W is a $200 drone. Sounds like you made out in the deal.

Hi: Looking to get our next quad after training on a Ares Ethos QX130…. Questions… 1. can you completely turn off GPS or must either GPS altitude or GPS position always be on? 2. In the latter point of your video (around 16 minutes) I thought you were well within the 100m WiFI FPV range you determined yet your phone screen was not showing the camera view? 3. I’m confused if you record the FPV video via the recording ap on your phone or does the quad have a SD card of some sort? Thanks
The Problems I have is with MJX quality control. My Bugs2 came with a bad battery charger and a bad controller. The Bugs 8 Pro I just ordered, came with a bad LCD monitor. Until they fix these issues , I cannot recommend buying and Bugs!
Thanks for saying Meters not Feet!
Wonder if this will hold a Nexus 7, only device I have with 5ghz.
Another excellent info video. FPV must use “802.11ac WiFi….5G. Important “tidbit” Just ordered one. Your BUGS2 SE(new silver) was great for comparison, BUGS just added 3 more features, “follow me, circle, and waypoint NAV” to the new one. Again, excellent and detailed T/E.
BTW…all newer APPLE iPads and IPhones are 802.11ac. My old iPad2 is not. Nor is my old iPhone4. Good reason to upgrade.
Keep flying….
Hey im getting it
Great price for a simple drone with wifi fpv
can you fly this without using a phone and still have gps, altitude hold and have it land automatically to spot it took off from like the other one you reviewed (baygood white one that takes a go pro) thax
SJRC S70W vs MJX Bugs 2W B2W vs X8. Which is the better all round performer for money? I went with a Bugs 2W as it seems better suited to windy weather and I hope to do a lot of coastal stuff over water. Do you have any recommendations for sub $200 drones? Don’t really have use for the follow me function. Lastly, I really enjoy your videos, so thank you.
If I connect to the breeze, I believe I can connect to this right?

Hi sir,! what are the phone that compatible to these drone..
Phones that are capable of using 802.11ac WiFi. Google your phone’s name and 802.11 to see if your phone has this capability.
Kalo ke Xiaomi mi A1 bisa connect ga bang?
Is this now called the Bugs 2SE on their site? Also, is this a sporty flyer like the Bugs 3W Mini? Can you turn off full GPS and just have altitude hold?
So they put gps on the 2 and then the 3 goes out further but with no gps…
