New FPV drone build – test flight – Lumenier QAV-S Johnny FPV V2 frame01:24

For the better part of last year I’ve been running the GepRC Mark 4 HD 5 frame and it’s served me well and although that frame (and the build around it) was near perfect, it still had flaws that I felt very strongly about.

I’ve spent about 2-3 months researching frames and I think I might have found the anwer to all my problems: The Lumenier QAV-S Johnny FPV Special Edition v2 frame. It came with a couple of its own problems (which I’ll talk about in a future video) but for now I’ll just leave you with this aggressive freestyle test rip that would put any drone out of shape (notice the amount of propwash moves I put this thing through). Yet this seems to really hold on well. (Yes, I’m aware that the flight controller and the tune do most of the propwash things but trust me: it IS in fact related)

For those of you wondering about the strength of the frame: I only crashed it once (actually I’m lying I crashed it 3 times but it was all part of the same incident): Not a scratch to be found. I’d say that’s a good start 😁 but only a real bando session will tell us about how this JohnnyFPV Special Edition FPV frame holds up…
