Runcam Racer 5 – FPV cam with Gyro. The onboard gyro gives on screen display of pitch angle, not stabilised image.
Micro sized camera with M8 lens gives surprisingly good image quality with saturated colours.

Another beauty Newt ?
The angle is for quad racers mainly – so they can reset their camera angle consistently after a crash. That’s important for hitting gates accurately.
i hope they make a split hd camera with built in gyro or even better a 4k one
I used to like the RunCam Sparrow for fixed-wing use as it was (originally) 25-ish AUD, had a voltage OSD & a microphone, but then the price nearly doubled & we lost all the extras that used to come with RunCam cameras…
Since then Ive been having a hard time finding ANY camera at a decent price with a full body AND a voltage display for less than 50-odd AUD!
I like the image of the Foxeer Razor Mini(?) & a decent price, but no voltage display….
I wouldn’t mind paying 50AUD for a camera with voltage display quite so much if they also added a display for RSSI from my rx.
With manufacturers now adding novelty features for a small select market in an already narrow field (FPV industry), surely it’s time one of them started to think of the fixed-wing fraternity???
Anyways, random thoughts- looking forward to trying out a Toothless2 on an old HK Walrus very soon, but it’s looking like Foxeer have stolen me away from RunCam! :v 😉
Thanks again & all the best!
That would be very useful on my ROV (ground based vehicle) as I find it difficult to determine angles in some locations, like crossing creeks and embankments.
I doubt I would use it in an aircraft though, maybe good for larger quads.
Thanks for posting another interesting product Andrew.
FPV ground vehicles could use the gyro. I was hoping for a voltage display. In the user manual it refers to an alarm but then it seems missing. Possibly in a firmware update? The image quality looks to be excellent. I prefer the 2.1 lens usually I get less distortion and lense flare. Thanks, Andrew for your excellent videos!
Another great RunCam ??
Great little camera.
Thanks, Andrew for introducing RunCam Racer 5!
Shit you get some good Toys!!
How much Bug Guts do you end up with through the Nose Strainer????
Oversaturated colours Andrew…?…Don’t remember the Rambler review, but it looks like a smooth flier for a wing…I’m building the Whitewing 3D printed flying wing it’s fun printing planes..Waiting to see you do one..??????????
Am surprised you didn’t do any loops to test out the full range of pitch degrees displayed?
Great to see summer weather flying (winter season for me).
Thanks for sharing the vibrant colour scene. Much appreciated. 🙂
Thanks Andrew ✌️?????
That horizon was wavy as opposed to the usual curve created by a wide angle lens. Looked very Strange. Any thoughts?
Does it not have v bat?
